| My key skills are: Business and Systems Analysis – I am a competent analyst and am used to producing UML models to support architecture design (including MODAF), requirements engineering and business change programmes. Training – I am a successful trainer and have a proven track record of designing and delivering training courses within both public and private sector. General - I am a confident team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I possess sound project management skills and employ a logical approach to work. I have 12 years experience of working as a systems engineer within the Ministry of Defence. My last position before leaving the MOD was working within the Integration Authority of DE&S. Within the IA I was responsible for implementing MODAF and architectural modelling within DEC ISTAR and the wider C4I community. |

I am an associate with QA-IQ and have both delivered and designed a number of training courses to various clients. Examples include:
Barclays Bank - I designed and delivered a one day training course on supplier management and project management. The course was aimed at HR specalists and was designed to give an appreciation of the main areas of supplier management.
British Airways - I co-led a 5 day business analysis training course.

I was Responsible for modelling the FRES Specalist Vehicles (recce versions) battlesapce architect as part of the FRES Formation Recce theme within NITEworks. This meant modelling the internal composition of the FRES recce platforms, their relationship within the FR Squadron and the links between FRES and the wider battlespace. A large element of the work involved modelling and understanding Bowman and the C4I capabilities of the FRES vehicles.
The architecture was modelled in System Architect.Specific MODAF views delivered as part of the architecture included: StV 1,2 & 3, OV 1,2,3,4,5, SV 1,2a,2b,2c,3,4,5

I was responsible for designing and delivering MODAF training courses for the Ministry of Defence. The courses were delivered through the Integration Authority and consisted of 3 levels; a one day introduction to MODAF, a 2 day intelligent customer course and a 2 day practitioner course. The courses were held in Abbey Wood and formed part of the Integration Authorities architeture service. In addition I also delivered the introduction course to DEC officers in MOD main building.

I was part of a team modelling user and system requirements for the next generation of web applications for HMRC. We used the Rational Rose toolset to:
- model and document the user/system interactions
- develop a comprehensive information model

Architecture Service Development Manager (2005-2007 Integration Authority)
Responsible for promoting the use of enterprise architecture modelling and MODAF within MOD. I was also responsible for managing the delivery of MODAF architecture training throughout DE&S. Heavy interaction with defence ISTAR and C4I community (supplier base, DEC and DE&S IPTs).Other duties included enforcing governance of MOD architecture policy.
Research Programme Delivery Officer (2004-2005 Future Business Group)
Responsible for delivering MOD research programmes within the ISTAR and electronic warfare domains. My key objective was to develop strategies that moved more research out of the MOD and into the private sector.
Gas Turbine Project Officer (1999-2003 Warship Support Agency)
Responsible for engineering support to the Royal Navy. This involved managing 2 international technology development contracts.
