Electrical Supervisor. Watchgate WTW.

Employed to supervise small team of electricians carrying out extension of control systems to carry out extra filtration on plant. Liased with client (HMB). All installation tested to clients satisfaction and documents and drawings updated accordingly.

Aug 2003 - Dec 2004 IBS

E&C Commissioning Engineer. BBC Mailbox Project Birmingham.

Pre commissioning and commissioning of all HVAC system throughout BBC studios. Plant included air handling units, fan coil units, dx units, temp elements, diff pressure elements, Honeywell invertors, temp/humidity sensors and condensation sensors. All equipment monitored via Honeywell plc software, LON network and network modules.

E&I Commissioning Technician. Kizomba ( A) Drilling platform. Rozenburg Holland.

Employed to inspect and commission all aspects of electrical and instrumentation equipment throughout TLP. Main duties involved commissioning caterpillar diesel generators and hot loop tests using Delta V, SIS, ESD and PCS via DCS and TRICONEX stations. Assisted by vendors (EMERSON) and (CATERPILLAR) to carry out tests. Tests carried out using Hart communicator , loop calibrator, decade box and nitrogen set. Also commissioned all fire and gas systems on standby, temporary and emergency generators. All testing was completed via caterpillar fire and gas control cubicles.

Employed to inspect and oversee final installation and commissioning of all electrical equipment throughout water treatment plant. Duties included ensuring installation was to specification and in accordance with latest revision of technical drawings. Witnessing of all HV/LV testing and commissioning. Amending and updating technical drawings using AutoCAD and signing final inspection documentation for client acceptance.

and the pre-commissioning of semi- submersible oil drilling platform. Duties included final construction on the thrusters and general fault diagnosis throughout the entire rig

CE&I Commissioning Technician. NRL Services, SMP, British Nuclear Fuels PLC Sellafield

Employed as part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for the commissioning of a rod fabrication system. Responsibilities included: input/output testing of system control software, instrument loop tests and carrying out dynamic and liability tests on all equipment used for manufacturing fuel rod assemblies. The control system consisted of SIEMENS Step 5 package, servo and stepper digiplan drives and an IPEZ unit for welding purposes.

CE&I Commissioning Technician. Rullion Engineering Personnel Ltd, WVPL3, British Nuclear Fuels PLC Sellafield.

Employed as part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for the commissioning of numerous control systems, primarily associated with radiological shield door equipment. Responsibilities included: input/output testing of system control software, instrument loop acceptance tests, sequence interlock device demonstrations, proving of safety related interlocks, initiating design modifications, completion of commissioning documentation and upkeep of as-built drawings. Assisted in the commissioning of multi-channel monitoring CCTV system including REES through wall camera systems, radiation tolerant in cell cameras and microprocessor controlled telemetry systems. Additionally, commissioned intruder detection system, fire alarms, seismic trip system, in-cell/out-cell lighting including signals to and from the DCS. Modicon PLC networks, I/O and software fault finding/testing & working through ladder logic. Responsible for sequence interlock device demonstrations, proving of castell key safety interlocks, initiating design modifications, raising fault observations, completion of commissioning documentation, upkeep of as built drawings and production of lifetime quality record handover packages.

Commissioning of main control cubicles interfacing with gas feed panels. Pre-commissioning of all power distribution cabling up to and including 11kv. Carried out commissioning tests on instrument

Loop systems and 110v control cabling on numerous plant shutdown systems.

Dec 1998 - May 1999

Electrical Technician. NNC, Wylva Nuclear Power Station

Testing and commissioning of all in-cell REES camera systems, 5 tonne EOTC crane and Fixed-wall crane situated in RHF hot cell. Additionally, carried out dynamic and liability testing on all in-cell equipment.

Electrical Commissioning Technician. GEC Alstom Automation, Heathrow Airport

Employed as part of a commissioning team responsible for the testing of an automated baggage handling system, which comprised of mini shipment equipment operating in conjunction with an automated parcel sorter, commissioning of automated elevator/lowerator hoists and associated conveyor systems including automatically operated transfer vehicles. The control system consisted of SIEMENS Step 5 programming package V6.6 and V7.0, utilising S5 115 CPUET 200 remote I/O and L2 COMM LINK hardware. Fully conversant with transferring program files and data files to PLC, I/O checking using force variables page to monitor inputs and force outputs. System proving trials, performing plant movements by transferring Data blocks with movement telegrams and fault finding using block status screens to monitor active logic strings.

Aug 1997 - Mar 1998

Electrical Technician. GEC Alstom Automation, Dungeness Nuclear Power Station

Bi-yearly re-certification of gas generators and associated equipment. Disconnection and re-installation of power, signal and control cabling systems on gas circulators. Carried out ingress protection on changeover switches, junction boxes, motors and pressure switches up to IP55 ingress protection standard.

Testing of control systems associated with the operation of 200te coalbunkers. Additionally, responsible for the installation of transducers and related cabling on main reactor EOTC crane.

Involved in the installation of 3 phase motors, earthing systems and multi-point building fire alarm system. Also installed burner front control panels and all associated cabling. Duties included pre-commissioning tests of all cabling and equipment
