Major Projects Executed

ChevronTexaco AX2: Senior Project Engineer (North Sea)

Manager of Engineering activities and personnel. Including scheduling work, approval and ensuring adherence to Technical Standards. Also, responsible for commercial issues pertaining to Engineering activities. Budgeting and costing the activities, material selection, defining test requirements, interpretation of customer requirements, directing the project and all activities required to ensure on time and on budget delivery in a safe manner and ensuing adherence to product quality requirements.

AGIP ABO: Senior Project Engineer (Nigeria, first OPEC DeepWater, Guidelineless)

This EPC project was the first Deep Water Oil Production Offshore Nigera. It included Guidelineless Trees, Flowbases, Running Tools, Installation aids, Test and Shipping Equipment. The Project was fast track and had a highly limiting schedule. The project took a year from the letter of intent to Production, which included many new designs and parts.

Responsible for the Management of Engineering. The duties entailed personnel management, technical leadership, scheduling and planning of Engineering and Design activities, Costing and CTR, approval and release of documents and drawings, writing or approval of test, assembly, analysis, DVP reports. Also, a major effort was expended on Interface management and communication with other Contractors.

There was a high degree of commercial, technical and contractual negotiation with the client and other contractor that required extensive international travel.

Technical leadership included the definition and ensuring adherence to specifications, interpretation of customer requirements, Design reviews, material selection, FAT and SIT procedures, coating specification, O&M manuals etc.

The project was given full support during Installation and Completion phases until full Production was achieved. There was an extensive offshore support provided with rapid solutions to problems encountered.

A high degree of emphasis was made on Safety, which led to many review, Risk Assessments, HAZOP, FMECA etc.

VEBA West Guillemot: Senior Project Engineer (North Sea)

Responsible for Engineering and managing engineering resources on VEBA West Guillemot Development fields. The project entailed supply of Production Subsea Trees, Flowbases, Tree Caps, Tubing Hangers and Dummy Tubing Hanger, Running Tools, Shipping and Test equipment.

The work also included the writing of O&M manuals, FAT and SIT Test procedures and support during tests. Design Verification Package was created, which was submitted and an IRC was obtained.

Customer and vendor support in understanding project requirements was provided.
