• 19 years Quality Management experience predominantly in the automotive industry.
• Proven skills leading major transformational programmes for leading parts suppliers in West Midlands applying advanced lean manufacturing and quality methodologies.
• 6 years (1986-1992) with Kigass Engineering Ltd (now Collins & Aikman) commencing as Quality Engineer and gaining rapid promotion to Site Quality Manager, managing all customer and supplier liaison and personnel development at main Redditch assembly site.
• Appointed Quality Manager to Sommer Allibert (from 2000 Faurecia Interior Systems), in 1992.
• Spent 5 months in France planning brand new manufacturing site in Lichfield. Instrumental in setting up a £3m t/o supplier to Toyota and Peugeot employing 30 people.
• Achieved ISO 9002 and EAQF ’94 ‘A’ ratings in 1995. Contributed significantly to the successful growth and profitability of the business.
• Delivered lowest PPM in group at Lichfield site, resulting in new business with Toyota, Rover, Nissan & IBC.
• Led the development of all quality management and strategy, with line responsibility for implementing group policies and leading recruitment/induction and training of enhanced workforce (growing from 30 to 380 across 3 sites in West Midlands and the North East - 300 at Lichfield headquarter base).
• Site increased to £30m+ t/o & 12600sqm to fulfil major contracts Achieved transition from old smaller site, on time and to budget.
• Prepared PPAP for Range Rover seats at Johnson Controls in only 12 weeks.
• In 2002 appointed Interim Quality Systems Manager at TRW Automotive Steering Systems, Birmingham (2 sites employing 900 people). Increased awareness of QMS requirements across the business, developed robust plans for the implementation of a new quality system, key role in developing intranet site.
• Achieved ISO TS 16949 accreditation in only 10 weeks at MGIC.
• Achieved major reduction in open issues and inspection / rework operations in various organisations via robust data analysis & problem solving.

• Strong IT skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and experienced in Intranet development.
• First class financial management skills, including all forecasting, detailed analysis of spend including labour costs & operational overheads, exercising strong control of spend.
• Management and development of all quality manuals and procedures, by function.
• Proven management and team building skills, providing clear guidance and direction.
