Responsibilities:
▪ For bringing new products from technical status to mass production. This includes the design, build and installation of special purpose equipment, processes, tooling and the overall project management of new products introduction (Over 130 projects implemented from small assembly machines to full factory reorganization). Machines included 1m Centrifuges to Non Woven paper wrapping machines, Camera Inspection systems and Polyurethane dispensing equipment.
▪ Facilities Management and services (compressed air, water, electrical and heating) of the building and grounds including the security.
▪ Liaising with outside suppliers for fabrications, equipment and control systems (Preferred supplier approval system).
▪ Preventive Plant Maintenance System implemented and maintained.
▪ General arrangement drawings, drawings of machinery and tooling, including approval and issue for department to BS308 and BS8888. (CAD Software (AutoCad 2008 and Inventor Series 2008).
▪ All product and customer drawings storage and databases. (over 2500 internal and departmental drawings)
▪ Health and Safety of Equipment and Systems (this includes technical files, risk assessments and COSHH Data).
▪ Procedure and Training Manuals
▪ Staff: 3 Engineers and 4 Maintenance engineers.

Responsibilities
▪ Reverse engineer products from customers.
▪ Sourcing of materials and parts.
▪ Drawing of components and putting out to tender.
▪ Updating of the Drawing Register and customer drawings
▪ Building and sourcing of special purpose equipment.
▪ Process control and setup of equipment including the initial SPC setup.
▪ ISO 9001 Auditing

▪ Apprenticeship (day release Accrington and Rossendale College)
▪ Machinist: Full range of medium to heavy engineering equipment and inspection. Lathes (3m Dean Smith and Grace), milling machines, vertical and horizontal boring machines (Webster and Bennett), multi-turret capstans, 4m CNC Horizontal Milling machines (including the programming). Radial Arm Drilling machines. Welding and Flame cutting.
