An E-Recruitment Software company marketing an Online RPO/E-Recruitment application.

Due to my considerable experience of the Recruitment industry, I have gained an in depth understanding of the process, but particularly RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) and E-Recruitment.

I was contracted to create a prospect list, contact the names on the list and arrange appointments with Managers and Directors of Corporate companies who were interested in rationalizing their recruitment processes. My brief was to make the initial contact, arrange a demonstration, run the demonstration and present the business case, objection handling and contract negotiation and finally closing the business. During the 3 months I was working with Internet Corp I arranged Demo’s at Signet Group, Harrods, Specsavers, Pets at Home and the Royal Mail.

Holonomix Ltd

A Professional Services company involved with IT Infrastructure and Corporate Compliance.

My role was to develop a sales pipeline for Holonomix as they did not have the manpower to do the sales leg work. I would contact Directors and Line managers and discuss their programs for implementation of the Sarbannes-Oxley Rule 404 within their organization. This would involve a lengthy conversation concerning the client’s infrastructure (Router, Switches, Hubs, etc) and how the inherent vulnerabilities of this could lead to problems for their SOX compliance. This would usually lead onto a discussion of the main application Holonomix sold called Voyence. I was also involved in setting up meetings concerning ITIL and OSS services to clients such as Easynet, COLT, Interoute and T-Mobile. I worked for Holonomix on a 3 month contract.

(Oct 1995 to Dec 2003)

Managing Director – Sales, Operations & Support

CPS/Update Ltd, Middlesex

Update Ltd supplied Marketing and Sales tools to the IT Recruitment Industry. Update Ltd was setup in 1995 by myself and 2 other directors and I became Managing Director in 1997.

Update Ltd’s main product was a report of Permanent and Contract Vacancies throughout the UK from companies looking to use Recruitment Agencies. This information was sold directly to the IT Recruitment Agencies who would send CV’s to the clients.

Our secondary product was a CRM Application including the contact details and recruitment history of over 32,000 UK based companies. The database was sold to IT Recruitment Agencies on a per user basis and on average sold for around £5000. I developed this product from scratch and signed wholesale contracts with a number of Data Management Agents. Our Marketing plan included Online and Affiliate Marketing, Trade Press, Trade Shows and Vendor Partnerships.

In September 1997 the company received an investment of £200,000 and this allowed us to restructure the company and move our services Online. I devised an E-Commerce website and after a lengthy process selected a Vendor to develop the application. During the development phase I built both the Telesales and Direct Sales teams to over 15 people and created both an Online and Offline marketing plan to launch the site.

Unfortunately, by August 1998 we had to find a replacement company to develop the website as our original vendor had gone bust. This caused an acute financial problem and resulted in a drastic restructuring of the company, which included harsh management decisions including Office relocation, Cost Reduction and Staff reduction including Redundancies, Sackings, Wage Freezes, etc.

Subsequent to this we rebuilt the company steadily until I left in 2003.

My main responsibilities included the management of Sales, Operations Recruitment and Development. I had responsibility for the Telesales force (up to 14 people), Direct Sales Force (3 People), Administration, IT support, customer relations, strategic planning, staff welfare and for the continuing success of the company.

I understand the principles of professional recruiting and have a good knowledge of the law relating to recruitment and Data Protection.
