CV

With over 10 years as an IT professional, I have developed, implemented & project managed (PRINCE2 Practitioner) numerous software solutions across diverse platforms. Early on in my career I developed a good grasp of relational database management systems (SQL Server 2000 / MS Access) and how these were used to best effect in business. Data Analysis, Management & Migration from both legacy systems and to new Oracle eBusiness Suite (ERP System) has formed a large part of my career using acquired technical skills (SQL/VB). One of the highlights of my career has been working on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link which has afforded me the opportunity to Project Manage a number of software developments, data migration, EAM, and ERP system set-up. I have worked for and with small & large clients from both the public and private sector, utilising my effective presentation and communication skills, which has enabled me to communicate with senior management and users.

Employment History

(Aug 2008 to Sep 2008)

EXCEL VBA DEVELOPER

Worthing

Day to Day Responsibilities
I created a Sales Proposal Tool. The tool was an Excel template used to generate a business proposal document to be sent to the Eurotherm customers. Once the subject inclusion selections had been made by the user, the printed output included a covering letter, a full table of contents, executive summary, products & services to be used, terms & conditions of trading and estimated prices. The output document could be around 50 pages depending on the scope of requirements. The document was built with the use of VBA coding.

Other duties & exposure
o Detailed analysis of tool to ascertain is worth as a long term solution
o Write both user & technical documentation
o Document an alternative solution

(Jun 2008 to Jul 2008)

INTERIM DATA MANAGER

Blackpool

Day to Day Responsibilities
The DWP Resource Management (RM) system is the largest Oracle ERP system in Western Europe. DWP Shared Services objective is to provide services to other government departments using the Oracle e-business suite. The RM Solution Architecture Team is developing a generic product in conjunction with the system operator (Fujitsu) and software provider (Oracle). This was more of a Technical Author role than a Data Manager, as I produced several technical documents outlining Data Migration requirements for the Finance & Procurement and HR & Payroll. Contents included data mapping, naming conventions and business rule requirements. These enabled client departments to provide data in the correct format from their legacy systems.

Other duties & exposure
o Met stakeholders from the Cabinet Office & DCFS to explain data requirements & migration strategy
o Analysed and recommended ETL solutions using Autosys, Informatica & Microsoft Outlook

(Apr 2008 to May 2008)

Joint System Administrator for both MIMS Asset Management System (EAM) & Oracle eBusiness Suite Version 11.5.10 (ERP) as support to the Asset Knowledge Manager.
