I am an extensively experienced, award winning, Project Management & Construction professional, with a background that covers shops, offices, schools, hospitals and housing within conventional construction; clean & dirty water treatment works, nuclear, airport, infrastructure and all aligned heavy and light civils Works. The scope of projects has been new build, restoration, regeneration, and most recently decommissioning and waste management.

I have the experience and skills to take complex projects through their full life cycle from conception to implementation including design and planning along with the tender process, mobilisation and contractor management. Having worked on both client and contractor based projects I am aware of commercial issues and reporting requirements. With my substantial construction/civils background I am able to bring safe practical buildability to projects reinforcing the principals of CDM.

Responsible for Project Managing several projects through their lifecycle, to time scope and budget. Managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve predetermined success criteria. Responsible to the Portfolio Manager for planning and costing lifetime plans of varying complexity and agreeing with the client. Project Seismic Modifications (Outage Works), Wylfa Power Station, Anglesey

Description Responsible for the organizing, management and implementation of all mechanical and structural seismic modifications during Reactor 2 shutdown. The project consisted of planning works to coincide with a nuclear reactor shutdown and ensuring works were completed within a tight time frame.

Mechanical alterations consisting of rerouting of fuel and gas pipe work and strengthening of walls to prevent damage in to the reactor or associated plant during a seismic event.

Responsible for the construction and completion of several projects and associated works packages; New Access Service Road & Parking Areas, Hangar infrastructure, Fuel Farm and Aprons. Working in and adjacent to MOD property.

Service Road and Diversion Of Existing Brook.

Construction of Flexible paved road to Highways Specifications including all infrastructure from virgin ground through to final tarmac wearing course, including, Foul drainage with pump stations, Surface water drainage with installation of Petrol Interceptors; Gas, Water, BT and security services installation.

Road signs, street lighting; Traffic safety barriers. Box and Piped culverts with RC and gabion Headwalls. Formation of brook realignment and new flood alleviation planes.

Hangar infrastructure & Civils Works

Top soil strip, removal of peat layer, Installation of rock blanket, Stabilisation of top soil and construction of Type 1 platform. Construction of stressed ground beams including preparation works for steel frame, installation of RC floor slab and Mezanine floors. insertion of all building works entry points. Associated Brick and Blockwork construction.

Fuel Farm and Apron Works

Top soil strip, removal of unsuitable areas of subsoil, introduction of drainage blanket, sub soil stabilization, Hand and Pavior laid dry lean and PQ concrete. Cutting of concrete bays, installation of expansion joints and final joint sealing. Installation of slot drainage and all main SW carrier drain infrastructure including installation of petrol interceptors. Installation of Navigational Aid infrastructure.

Responsibilities Reporting to the site Agent as part of a team with responsibility for Engineering Programming, Ensuring Engineers have current information and works are set out ready and ahead of working resources. Liaising with client and design consultants, attending all meetings, ensuring and maintaining value engineering throughout. Approval of materials, method statements, test & Inspection schedules.

Organising Sub contractors, holding pre contract and regular site progress meetings. Programme and budget control. Maintaining PMI and CVI records along with detailed daily diaries. Maintaining QA, Environmental and Safety records. Writing and obtaining approval for Method statements, risk assessments and Tip's. Sourcing, negotiating and procurement of materials and services. As built information and Health and Safety Documentation.
