Self motivated, reliable and conscientious. Many of the projects I have worked on have involved both the design work and ensuring the final installation is completed to the client's satisfaction. Working in the Oil and Gas sector as the company point of contact. I have excellent team work and leadership skills and am used to working to tight timescales and supervising others to ensure that timescales are met.
I have experience of the Project Lifecycle from contract award to contract sign off, and hence have an understanding of the importance of establishing good relations with clients from project kick-off so that a clear understanding is reached regarding the client's expectations and requirements. Having worked on varying sized projects I have experience of working individually and as part of a team.
Key Skills
· Over 16 years experience of control and instrumentation systems, 11 of which have been in the Oil and gas industry.
· Experience of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Distributed Control System (DCS) principles and implementation (both hardware and software design).
· Experience of process control, ESD and Fire & Gas system implementation, design and commissioning.
· Experience of producing project documentation such as User Requirement Specifications, Functional Design Specifications, Factory Acceptance Tests, commissioning procedures and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
· Capable of determining client's requirements to provide the necessary solutions.
· Good Fault Finding/Analytical skills.
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
· Proficient using MS Office.

Responsibilities:
Acting as a principle engineer within the production asset optimisation group. Responsible for the design, support and modification of DCS control systems. Responsible for installation of web based well monitoring and optimisation systems. Responsible for installation and configuration of alarm management systems.

BP ISIS
Acted as lead engineer for the deployment of BP's ISIS well monitoring and optimization system to 9 BP sites worldwide. Implementation of communication interfaces to various DCS systems on production platforms for remote monitoring. Supervised 5 junior engineers during project duration.
Transco Avonbridge Compressor Stations
Acted as design engineer for the development of an integrated control system for Transco's Avonbridge Gas Compressor Stations. Responsibilities included design, installation and commissioning of control, ESD and Fire & Gas systems for 4 gas compressors. Communication interfaces to the compressor packages, metering system and telemetry system were also engineered and commissioned. Additional modifications to original work scope carried out over this period have included seal gas re-injection, anti-icing control, loadsharing control and seal gas booster systems.
