• Assigned to trimming, sanding, painting and inspecting various polymer parts for the use of different applications, mainly tractor engine hoods.
• Worked closely for six months with an eight member team in producing a prototype for a new polymer part. Here I was given the opportunity to train and supervise the other members in skills I had already learnt.
• The completion of the product required close co-operation, flexibility, working under pressure and constant decision making in achieving the desired goal. This helped further my interpersonal and team working skills.

• Leadership - As captain of the College Chess Club, I organised fixtures and motivated my team. I was also responsible for the general conduct of my team members.
• Planning and Organising - In my role as Treasurer of the Oldham Sixth Form College Electronics Society, I was in charge of a budget in excess of £5000. The management of this required careful prioritising of the many demands on the budget.
