Senior Encoding Technician (6 month contract). Working on pilot to provide video streaming of regional items for general video-on-demand web access. ShifWorking shifts as part of a small team using remote HTML processing company to achieve conversion to Windows Media platform and distributed via Telvos system.

March 2005 - Nov 2005

B SKY B Transmission Controller at Chilworth Uplink site, Southampton. Gained experience in multi-channel encrypted transmission of pay per view movies. Use of remote server to download movies and associated interstitial material for their presentation. First line maintenance of profile replay systems to minimize down time of service to customers. (Position made redundant Nov 2005)

Joined Meridian Broadcasting in Jan 1993 initially in VTR operations.

Nov 2003 - Dec 2004 - Worked as a freelance engineer at Meridian, Southampton covering workload peaks and training new operational staff. The operational work in the newsroom needs adaptable attitude to working maximizing communication skills and prioritising tasks working to tight deadlines in a live transmission environment.

ACHIEVEMENTS at Meridian

· Promoted to Transmission Controller in 1994 working initially in single channel fully manual control room.
