SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS
➢ Formed and led a Decommissioning, Property and Recruitment Division in 2002 following an unstable period during which over 40 people left company. Worked as part of a team to restore stability of the company prior to purchase by a third party in 2003.
➢ Growth of Health Physics and Decommissioning business from £0.75M turnover in 1994 to £4.0M in 2002 through recruitment of key staff and diversification of client base.
➢ Growth of Contract Recruitment Services business from £0.5M turnover in 1996 to £4.0M in 2002 through recruitment of key staff.
➢ Turnaround of an acquired Disaster Recovery business to a £1.0M turnover profitable, sustainable business.
➢ Acting as an external consultant to Nuclear Electric, prepared the documentation for the Civil Works and Structures section of the Pre-Operational Safety Report for Sizewell B nuclear power station, for submission to the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate (NII). This project involved extensive consultation with the civil designers of Sizewell B and with specialists at Nuclear Electric in order to produce a report within demanding deadlines.
➢ Acting as an external consultant to Nuclear Electric, implemented the Management Information Work Accounting and Control (MINWAC) system for the Environmental Technology Department to increase efficiency. Established database to manage over 100 internal company agreements.
➢ Project Manager for the seismic and dynamic analysis work on the Faslane Shiplift at the Clyde Submarine Base, for the Ministry of Defence. Generated £1.0M of revenue by identifying additional workscopes, providing cost effective engineering solutions and high quality work, and establishing excellent client relations. Led, directed and motivated a team of 6 professional engineers, producing over 25 detailed reports for input to the Safety Case.

Division renamed Decommissioning, Property Consulting and Recruitment Division from October 2002, following a re-organisation within Vectra. Secured a three-year Term Decommissioning contract with UKAEA at Harwell, extended for a further two years.
Responsible for the turnaround of the Disaster Recovery Business, acquired by Amey as part of the Enviresponse business. This business was integrated into the Site Services Division.
