· Assemble swing-over packages in support of Hot Swing Over of water treatment plants from Provox controls to New Honeywell Experion PKS control system.
· Team-member responsible for writing, reviewing and refining swing over procedures for plants 31-WTP Demin, 35-N2, 31-Pretreatment and 32-Potable Water. This included separate procedures for N2 Compressors and Boiler make-up Pumps.
· Preformed field and panel operator duties as required for successful swing over of:
* Pretreatment water systems
* 8 demineralizer trains to new control systems
* 3 regeneration systems related to the demin trains
* Potable water plant swing over
· Involved with Safe Work Plans as well as clearances for scope of work verifications at all stages.
· Panel operator to perform 3700 loop-checks and field Operator for Utilities Plant 31 generators, power generators and steam letdowns swing-overs
· Field Operator for Hot & Cold swing-overs of Utility Boilers and CO Boilers
· Maintaining daily progress reports of progress and sourcing support as required for corrections.
· Generating graphic and wiring deficiencies in regards to design.
· Design logic proving when required.

· While burning sawdust and shavings, operated and maintain two 35K lb/hr boilers on a 250# header for steam used in kiln drying softwood lumber.

Shift Engineer: Lamb-Weston, Taber, Alta April/1999 - April/2003

· Assist with safe commissioning of the Potato Processing Facility

· Operate and maintain two 60K #/hr gas fired boilers

· Operate and maintain 50K# liquid ammonia refrigeration system

· Supervise and Assist in training 3rd class Operator as well as oversee wastewater treatment plant operator during off shift and weekends

· Supervise and maintain all steam and ammonia related equipment in the processing areas of the facility

· Relief Chief: Successfully planned and executed annual turn around. During this time I was present and asked to advise on hiring, one operator, whom is still at Lamb-Weston

Assistant Shift Engineer:

Alberta Power Ltd, (Atco Power), Sheerness Generating Station, Hanna, Alta Jan-85-April/1999

· Operate and Commission one 400MW power unit including all auxiliaries as one of the on shift floor operators during the 18 month commissioning process. This unit is thermal electric, burning 225 tonne/hr pulverized coal

· Operate and Commission one 400MW power unit including all auxiliaries, computer operating systems, environmental monitoring and all related equipment as control room operator

· Re-commission Unit#1 after a complete control system change out. This unit is operated by a Bailey Net-90 PCV 5.1 PC based control system. All unit functions can be monitored, trended and tracked via PC mouse control

· Control room operator at this facility is responsible for continually monitoring two 400MW units, all auxiliaries, station fire systems, emergence response systems and environmental compliance rulings

· The last ten yrs as a board operator involved supervising and operating the above units while directing junior plant and utility operators

· Through the AS-400 based system all deficiencies are work ordered and progress monitored. All inner corp. communications are handled through this system

· During my years at Sheerness I was involved in set-up of the original on site health and safety committee, as well as remaining an active member for 6.5 yrs

· During this time I continually worked with all disciplines of professionals from electricians to millwrights to contract start-up engineers; this during an ongoing commissioning and trouble shooting process
