Achievements:
Acquisition, Build and Supply of New Build Jet Aircraft: Led a multi-functional team through the entire lifecycle of a new build aircraft programme. Delivered the programme ahead of schedule and returned an unprecedented margin of 20% on the sale.
Recovery of Autopilot Development Programme: Engaged with the senior management of a key supplier to turn around a £2.6m failing programme to the satisfaction of both the company and supplier.
Bid lead for the "Hawk for Snowbirds" Campaign: Led a multi-functional team to submit a £186m bid to replace the Canadian Aerobatic teams' aircraft. The bid was successfully submitted, complying with the challenging time-scales imposed by the Canadian Government.
Managed £750k Cost Recovery: Identified an opportunity to increase the Contract margin through the management of 'out of scope' work. My resilience through out the intense negotiations resulted in the programme benefiting from a substantial £750k credit.
1 st Flight of New Jet Aircraft Ahead of Schedule: Led a multi-functional team to achieve a £9.0m, first flight payment milestone ahead of the scheduled date.
Bid Team Member for Major Jet Aircraft Programme: Engaged with the UK Mod during the 'business winning' phase; simultaneously managing the in-house team to successfully submit the Company's response to the 'request for price'.
Delivery of Jet Aircraft Using Airfreight: Successfully implemented a £1.3m risk mitigation programme, by delivering aircraft via airfreight into Canada, to the satisfaction of both the company and customer.
Programme Margin Recovery: Introduced to the management team to assist with margin recovery on a troubled programme. Analysed both programme and financial performance and successfully introduced a revised process, realising a margin benefit of c£450k.
