Primary role as Health & Safety Officer providing in a wide range of industrial setting (e.g. electrical & mechanical, heavy lifting, fabrication) to a multi-national group of employees and contractors:
Advice on company policies and procedures, employee and contractor induction training.
Attendance of departmental and managerial safety meetings.
Carrying out toolbox talks, pre task meetings.
Implementing, reviewing and monitoring of risk assessments.
Training in fall protection methods and equipment, working with hazardous substances, hot work and fire watch duties, lifting equipment and banksman signals, helicopter safety, working over water, permit to work and isolation procedures.
Internal auditing of policies and procedures.

Currently employed as a Health & Safety Officer for City Facilities Management (UK) Ltd :
A national facilities management company, providing advice to a wide range employment sectors that maintain and clean the premises and specialist equipment of a large national retail outlet. Coverage is on a national basis, but generally ranges from the east midlands to the south coast.
Involved in the day to day operations and providing advice to all levels for various employment sectors, including :
Refrigeration Engineers, HVAC/Gas Technicians, Electrical Technicians, Small Works Building, Landscape Technicians, Pest Control Technicians, CCTV Technicians, Mechanical Engineers, High Level Lighting Technicians, Drainage Engineers.
In addition the company also provides personnel for comprehensive cleaning services on behalf of the same client as above.
Again day to day involvement in the safe working practices, policies and procedures in cleaning the premises and equipment.
Incident reviews/investigations when required and initiating reports for the senior management and the insurance provider where necessary.
In addition attendance when requested by a local enforcement officer (EHO), to provide information where required.

I aim to use my current underpinning knowledge gained from the Diploma in Health & Safety Management as a base to build upon.
I am currently undertaking the NEBOSH general certificate under a distance learning method, I am required to take this route to further my academic route first. In addition I also intend to continue with a view to pursuing a post graduate path to Msc level.
I live with my partner (and 2 cats!) situated in a village between the Norfolk/Suffolk border and is well placed for the major through roads to London and the Midlands. I currently have a company car through a scheme and fuel card.
