I am writing to you to enquire whether you are presently seeking the service of an electrical engineer.
I am 37 years old, with thirteen years experience in onshore, offshore and marine electrotechnics.
J. Ray McDermott International, presently employs me in the oil and gas industry, working on a major project in the Caspian Sea (Azerbaijan), the main contractors are BP/AIOC. My working rotation is 2 months on and 1 month off.
I am looking for a regular position, which will allow me to spend more time with my family.
I currently live with my wife and two children in Gdynia (Poland) but I am willing to relocate to another country.

October 2002 to Present J.R.McDERMOTT - MCCI (USA) Electrical Engineer
During the upgrade of the Pipe Lying Barge "ISRAFIL HUSEYNOV" (approximately one year), Baku, Azerbaijan Working as an Electrical Engineer, During pipe lay, on board PLBG "I. HUSEYNOV" (Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan):
as a 1st Electrician / Shift Leader
During upgrade of oil & gas platform "Shah Deniz", cooperating with "Deniz" electrical department, if necessary.
Primary roles & responsibilities: -
During upgrade: supervision and participation in the installation of new equipment covering Main Switchboards, Generators, AC distribution, Pipe Moving System, Tensioners, Transformers, 60T deck crane, converters, winches - large power propulsion systems, DC electric drive, control boards, etc.
Modification of existing systems like accommodation, power and lighting, 250T & 2x30T cranes, control panels, softstarters, production line, etc.
Participation in modifications and development of onshore facilities and power distribution systems.
During pipe lay, (For BP): responsible for repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment and related electrical elements of mechanical equipment located on the barge. Implementation and follow up on preventive maintenance program and affect breakdown repairs as required.
In addition: solving electrical problems on board various support vessels, shore facilities and dry dock. Ensuring all activities were carried out in accordance with contractor safety procedures and BP golden rules.
In 2003 delegated to ASI ROBICON (England) for training on drives and control of large power winch propulsion installed on PLBG.
Trained by LIEBHERR technicians on new 60T crane and its controls and components.
During this period, "HUSEYNOV" had already successfully laid down almost a 1000km different type of pipelines, on the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
February'97 to October'02 Torvald Klaveness & Co. (Norway) Electro - Automation Officer
Working on various sea going vessels (multipurpose, tankers, chemicals) as an Electro-Automation Officer. Responsible for proper functioning, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment on board including: Generators and their control, Main Switchboard, Inert Gas System, Cargo Pumps Control, Deck Electro-Hydraulic Cranes, Fire & General Alarm Systems etc.
In 2000 delegated to Oshima Shipyard in Japan to test and commission newly built vessel for Company.

June'94 to May'96. Smedvig Tankships (Norway) Electrical Officer
Working on sea going VLCC tankers as an Electrical Officer. Responsible for correct functioning, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment on board covering: Generators and their control, Main Switchboard, Inert Gas System, Cargo Pumps Control System, Fire Systems, etc.
In 1995 sent to KaMeWa Factory in Sweden on Adjustable Pitch Propeller Course and then delegated to Hyundai Shipyard in S. Korea to test and commission newly built VLCC tanker for Company.
October'93 to May'94 National Iranian Tanker Company (Iran) Assistant Electrician
Beginning of professional carrier. Gaining my first experiences on board oil tankers (VLCC). Familiarization with Inert Gas Systems, Cargo Pumps and other tanker's electrical equipment. Working on board as an Assistant Electrician.
April'92 to July'92 Polish Ocean Lines Co. (Poland) Assistant Electrician
Practice as Assistant Electrician, on board general cargo vessel. Assisted to Electrical Officer, familiarization with ship power distribution system and other marine electrical equipment.
