At present I am studying for a Mechanical Engineering Degree at King's College London and have just completed my second of 3 years. I am committed to using my long vacations constructively and am looking for summer work to build on the skills and work experience that I have so far gained.

Experience

4 Business, London (Summer 2005)

Covered the front desk of rented office space. Answered phone, dealt with all incoming and outgoing post for the building and answered enquiries in person.

I also worked in their main office. My main duties included: Answering phones for clients, directing calls to relevant people, sorting and filing post, registering new companies.

CamdenCouncil Parking Solutions Dept., London (Spring / Summer 2005)

Part-time logging and scanning. I reported to the Office Manager and assisted with the electronic 'filing' of complaints and appeals that had been received by post.

Swan School of English, Oxford (Summer 2003)

Market Research Assistant. Involved researching and analysing possible marketing targets on the Web and making reasoned suggestions to my Supervisor. I was part of the small admin team, often covered absences and helped with the running of the school office on a daily basis.

Balliol College, Oxford

I have worked as a waitress at Balliol College on a casual basis for the past five years, during term time while at school and in the vacations while at university. I have been involved with the general running of the student dining hall, acting as a means of communication between students and the chefs. I have also assisted with the setting up of conferences and special functions. I was a general assistant and as a result have good knowledge of the workings of the college's Conference and Catering Department.
