BASF, Seal Sands, Site based

· Site seconded to BASF to work as part of Aker Kvaerner Design team, Lead Engineer, to carry out site modifications / site expansion projects.

· Job Role typically involves

- preparing and agreeing project budgets, timescales and specifications,

- plan and co-ordinate the technical design and engineering implementation of project work,

- producing and implementing design and deliverables for installation and commissioning,

- purchasing via client ordering system,

- liaise with vendors and client to undertake relevant research and implementing solutions (identifying technologies for new applications) for Brownfield projects,

- provide site technical support (in and out of hours).

Lugs Retrieval, Dungeness Power Station, Home Office Based

· New Lug Retrieval and processing facility on the Magnox A Power station, Dungeness, Kent.

· Job role involved producing specifications / procurement of instrumentation, CCTV and fire detection packages.

· Provided site technical support.

SITA, Isle of Man Waste Incinerator, Home Office and Site Based

· Site seconded to the Isle of Man to work as part of Aker Kvaerner commissioning team.

· Job role involved loop commissioning, instrument set-up and providing site technical support.

· Compilation of all commissioning documentation prior to client hand-over.

Lisheen Milling Backfill Preparation Plant, Home Office Based

· Lead engineer role preparing and agreeing project timescales.

· Produce all specifications for instrumentation prior to purchase.

Dupont, Wilton, Site Based

· Site seconded to Dupont to work as part of Aker Kvaerner Design team on an expansion to an existing PTA plant located on the Wilton site.

· Job role involved,

- Producing instrument specifications, schedules,

- Producing control and interlock specifications.

Yizheng Sinopec, China, Home Office Based

· Configuration of a Honeywell TDC 3000 Distributed Control System (DCS) for a PTA project for Yizheng Sinopec Fibre Company.

· Job role involved,

- working with client in creating new process and interlock graphics,

- building of the point database (instrument tag number, process information etc.),

- checking, testing and modification of the point database, logic and sequence software.

SERONO Pharmaceutical facility, Switzerland, Home Office Based

· Detailed engineering design of phase one of a pharmaceutical purification facility for Serono, SBP in Switzerland.

· Job role entailed compiling instrument schedules, specifications and datasheets for vendor enquiry through to procurement.
