Firm manufactures Environmental Test Chambers. My role involved independently communicating between customers and technical staff, recording sales and rental activities in electronic and paper based filing system. Also compiled sales brochures, and company materials.

SKILLS, INTERESTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

IT: In 2001 I learned to build PC systems. I am comfortable using several MS Office applications. I am confident in my ability to develop skills, as demonstrable by on job MAPINFO training at Powys leading onto completing a project independently, and organising to self learn MAP CAPTURE for the next stage of the project. I also had some exposure to ORACLE database as part of the highways management system. At university I was exposed to IDRISI and MINTAB.

TEAMWORK: I currently work in a heavily team based work environment, and can flexibly operate in a supervisory or assisting position dependent on the situation. At Powys, I assisted other technicians when I completed my projects. I enjoy playing football and canoeing in teams in spare time.

MOTIVATION: I like to keep myself busy, and always have a number of small side projects ongoing to fill spare time. These include my interest in PC's - several of which I have sold to friends and family, basic DIY, and outdoor activities. I am ambitious and keen to drive my career onwards.

PERSONAL: I am able to work independently, and have never missed an assignment deadline. I am however realistic and sensible enough to recognise when I need support and advice, and will always ask for support in the interest of the project. I think this has largely stemmed from team working at the restaurant, when I know how much I can handle independently and when I MUST get assistance.
