Responsible for the design, manufacture and site installation of control panels and automated P.L.C. control systems for materials handling conveyors and associated production line machinery within the food industry and bottling plant environments. Production of relevant technical documentation This to include schematic drawings in autocad format. Liaison with and appoint sub contract assistance within budget. Leading a small team of electrical engineers.

As Managing Director of Controltec Ltd. my responsibility was to head a company team of eighteen personnel. Our team objective was to provide a quality service within the electrical automation industry generally within the food and drink environment. My varied role included managing all aspects of a small business together with managing our inter-departmental segments to include: administration, sales & purchasing, customer support, PLC software and programming, electrical site installations and in house manufacture of control panels and associated machine control.

As one of three founder Directors in 1991, my initial role was to assist the Managing Director in the set up of the company establishing workable company structures and systems. I was principally involved in the instigation of I.T. systems within the company. Once the company was reasonably established, I then took on a more technical role in the control & automation side of the business, designing control systems and PLC programming with Mitsubishi Medoc, Allen Bradley SLC500 and Omron packages. As a Director, I also carried out company sales and promotional activities.
