Duties & Responsibilities:-

Report to Section Head / Engineer, Responsible to carry out the following activities,

• Troubleshoot abnormalities arising in the plant and oilfield equipment. Execute all assigned work tasks in line with agreed plant operating philosophies, and in line with current Maintenance Craft Procedures and work practices
• Perform trouble shooting, repair and maintenance including preventative, , predictive and corrective maintenance for a variety of control systems such as DCS PLC,ESD, Gas turbine control systemsFire&Gas etc.
• Assisting Maintenance Supervisor to control and plan work activities
• Complies with safety conditions ,practices on all equipments and observes the work permit regulations
• Interface with other maintenance/service department staff to coordinate breakdown or routine maintenance work on facilities and plants
• Direct and participate in the implementation of plant instrument modification work in accordance with established procedures.
• Familiar with the P&ID's, loop sheets,ladder drwg, ESD logic cause & effects and schematic diagrams.
• Assist the process crew as necessary attending all shut-down&stat-up activities
• Maintain routine records of work completed and details of maintenance work carried out includes filing maintenance request forms, special equipment reports calibration report and daily report of activities
• Familiar to use of SAP, Knowledge and understanding, is in hand to make sure that the instrument equipments sparest orders and their availability are tracked.

➢ Presently working with Qatar Petrochemical Company on behalf of Specialised Oil Services wll from July2005 to till date. Instrument technician at Mesaied in Qatar (presently on visit visa)

· Involving trouble shooting of various field Instruments associated control system of Ethelene plant.

· Maintenance of fire and gas and toxic gas instruments.

· Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems

➢ Worked with M/s W .J. TOWELL Co LLC (Engg div)from June 2004 to June 2005 as Instrument foreman in Sultanate of Oman ,Involving Oil&gas field service.

· Organized the maintenance and repair works of all the instruments, control and communication equipments connected to plant automation to ensure their availability and good performance.

· Responsible for carry out preventive and breakdown, maintenance of the plant and ensures that all routine maintenance works are carried out as per PMS plan

· Familarisation of Ge-Fanuc 90-30 PLC and handle independently

· Preventive maintenece of fire and gas Instrument and associated equipemts such that Deluge skid,Foam skid,Sprinkler units,Rim Seal agents and Co2 system.

· Maintain routine records of work completed and details of maintenance work carried out includes filing maintenance request forms, special equipment reports calibration report and daily report of activities.

➢ Dec 2002 to June 2003 worked as Instrument technician with Maritime Industries co ltd for Dubai Petroleum Company, in Fatheh& South West Fatheh Field (offshore)

· Worked shutdown maintenance of Gas train A, B, F&G.

· Assigned ESP project in Falah- C platform Wellhead no 13.Involved installation, simulation and function check of relay logic panel of ESD and Allenbradely Plc for ESP unit.

· Troubleshooting and rectifications of faulty loops both in field instruments via marshalling cabinets and control systems cabinets

· Calibration of of smokedetector,combustible gas detector H2Sdetector, simulation of heatdetectorand UV/IRflamedetector,Manual alarm call point etc

➢ Worrked as Senior Instrument technician with Doha Petroleum co ltd, on behalf of SNAMPROGETTI at ARAB -D NGL4 (Qatar Petroleum) Gas teatment plant in Dukhan, Doha, state of Qatar onwards March 2002 to Sept 2002.

· Involved Commissioning, start-up activities of Recycle Gas compressor of GE NUOVAPIGNONE for 3units(Frame5) with the Turbine vendor.

· Familarisation &Handle the system of Speed Tronic Mark V TMR

(HMI) Gas Turbine control system.

· Lead the team for commissioning who is responsible for loop checking,repair faulty loops, and client witness.

➢ October 1997 to April 2001 worked as 'Instrument technician' with Oman National Electric Company) in Sultanate of Oman.

· Trouble shooting of Gasturbine &Gas comperessor,in the Gas terminal field at various site.

· Calibration & Servicing of various field instruments and control sytem of seperator(HP,TEST,LP&DEGAUSSING)hydrocyclone, surgedrum etc.

· Involved shutdown maintenance, which includes calibration of all the instruments, replacement of necessary instruments, Simulation of cause and effect ,relocating, start-upand recommissioning activities.

➢ From October 1996 to April 1997 worked as an "Instrument Technician"with ,M/sInstruments Installation and Maintenance Co.(IMCO)for the restoration Project of export oil division of Kuwait National Petroleum Co.(KNPC) in Mina-Al-Ahmadi, Kuwait.(PLCR South&North Pier )

· Involved in the system Installation, loop checking, pre & commissioning activities of flow computer Waugh Data Acquisition System of Waugh 4000.

➢ From June 1992 to October 1996 Worked as an "Instrument Technician" withM/s Ganesh Benso plast ltd manufacturing Benzoic Acid, Benzo Plast & Sodium Benzoate at Tarapur,India

· Joined in the project stage of expansion unit -II,Installation of field instruments hydro test activities, and function check of all critical loops.

· After successful commissioning, Maintenance works involves main distillation column, reactors, vessel, heat exchangers, compressor Stream turbine, Boilers, Reactor, Cracking unit and additional process equipments with related Instrument and control systems.

· Predective maintenance of Air compressor,Dieselgenerator,Nitorgen plant,Effulent treatmentplant and process plant

➢ From 1989to 1992 worked as Govt Apprenticechip training in Instrument dept at Shri Ram Fibres ltd Manali Chennai .(Polymer plant)

· Worked with maintenece team and learned basic Instrumention of various field instruments and equipments.Calibration and servicing of Control vavles,flow meter,gauges,switches,transmitter,controller etc.
