SUMMARY

o Active team member of for Squeak and Rattle elimination team.

o Support internal commercial managers in costing for new change requests from customer.

o Responsible to determine assembly sequence with cockpit architects.

o Check clashes and collusions to ensure design is feasible for manufacturing.

o Track design changes, design for assembly tracking lists and advice designers to implement changes in design.

o Completely responsible (sourcing, timing, testing, costs) for all fixings in cockpit.

o Lead simulation-design team to ensure assembly feasibility and advise design modifications.

o Responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques (poke-yoke, hands free assembly, assembly operation in layers)

o Participate in regular FMEA reviews with designers and quality.

Project Assistant (April 2001 - September 2001)

Worked as a Project Assistant in the Prototype Department, as part of my Masters curriculum. Was an active member of the Digital Mock Up and Virtual Prototype team conducting digital simulations on design and validating for prototyping. Worked with VPM 4D Navigator, Product Structural Navigator, KVS and other Catia tools.

Worked as an Assistant to the Technical Manager, where all the aspects like production, design analysis, quality control, and labor relations were involved. In this small-scale industry, sheet metal fabrications and other steel fabrications were carried out for major companies.
