2002-2003 MSc Pollution and Environmental Control

This multidisciplinary course covered a range of environmental subjects. The science of pollution damage was studied through theory, practical field studies and quantitative methods for environmental science. Modules studied included:

MSc thesis research was undertaken, in co-operation with the Carbon Trust, on the barriers to using green supply chain management to achieve improvements in energy efficiency within the chemical sector. The results have been used by the Carbon Trust to develop their strategy in the northwest of England.

· Responsible for preparing and submitting environmental permits and consents, on behalf of Shell U.K. Limited, for Well and Project Engineering.

· Providing advice on environmental legislation and incident reporting to well and sub-sea engineers

· Input to process mapping of roles and responsibilities for environmental permits.

· Liaison with industry regulators including DTI and DEFRA

Air Pollution:
