PROFILE: Highly motivated Project Manager with design and construction background recently within Telecommunications GSM/ UMTS rollout sector. With over 10 years experience in survey, design (structural), build and project management of Greenfield/ Rooftop site rollout, I have performed a varied cross section of responsibilities. Good communicator, have a commitment to succeed and can adapt to a variety of challenges. Educated to B.Eng (Hons) degree level in Civil Engineering I am also qualified to take on a role in traditional areas of construction/ project management.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

MAY 2004 - Present MASON COMMUNICATIONS - Manchester

Vodafone XL2 Project

DUTIES Currently I am performing the role of BUILD MANAGER for 'Mason Communications' under the XL2 contract for the network site role out programme under 'Vodafone' in the North of England area. Based in Exchange Quay, Manchester I work within a team concentrating on managing the Acquisition, Build and Commissioning of Vodafone 3G site rollout.

Current duties include:

▪ Managing activities and allocation of work/ contracts to Design Consultants, Build Contractors and Regional Electricity Contractors (REC).

▪ Co-ordinating cell site design between the Acquisition Agent and Design Consultant.

▪ Ensuring Design and Build contractors carry out their services in accordance with client project specifications.

▪ Ensuring all Design and Construction completion milestones are met as laid down by Vodafone budget spending programme of works.

▪ Responsible for power procurement to all new Greenfield/ Rooftop sites involving the request of power quotations and liaison with landlords to obtain sub metered supply.

▪ Reporting on performance of Design and Build Contractor progress.

▪ Management of site data and programme milestones within 'Evenflow' (Omnix) - Vodafone site database.

▪ Site meetings carried out including Pre Start (Build Contr/ Landlord), Build Inspections and FSAI Handover meeting (Final Site Audit Inspection).

JULY 1996 - May 2004 CAPITA SYMONDS - Cheadle Hulme, Manchester.

DUTIES: Whilst at Capita Symonds my traditional role as SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER provided engineering consultancy services for all mobile telecommunications operators in the North of England which have included Orange PCS, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile & 'Three', Airwave mmO2 and GSM-R Network Rail.

Typical duties performed included:

▪ Undertaking of feasibility/ detailed surveys of Greenfield/ Rooftop sites.

▪ Preparation of structural designs & calculations.

▪ Design of all installations upon Rooftop & Greenfield sites to locate/ accommodate operator equipment cabinets/ cabins & antenna.

▪ Production & control of planning/ detailed design drawings and build pack H&S docs.

▪ Costing appraisal of individual site works programmes.

▪ Project management & site inspection of build contractors.

▪ Client liaison which involved day to day updates along with weekly/ monthly progress meetings.

▪ Production of health & safety documentation in accordance with CDM regulations.

BELGIUMREGIONAL DESIGN CO-ODINATOR to client Ericsson who was undertaking 1999/ 2000 the construction of the KPNO third national GSM network. Located in Brussels, Antwerp & Gent my duties included ensuring sites were designed and built to design standards laid down by Ericsson, working alongside local consultants and KPNO/ Ericsson departments, attending surveys & pre start meetings on site and implementation of design packages into the build process.

ITALYDESIGN ENGINEER as part of a Cellnet contract within the Picienne

1997/ 1998 Italia consortium for the pre license/ bid support of the 3rd cellular network in sites - Milan,Rome and Florence. Duties included feasibility surveys on rooftop and Greenfield city centre sites as well as the design and planning of provisional cell sites.

NOV 1993 - JULY 1996 NYNEX CABLECOMMS - MANCHESTER

DUTIES: Business Communications/ Network Designer - Responsible for producing technical documents & proposals, designs, costing, installation guidelines and feasibility analyses in order to provide voice and data services off existing networks/switch centres. Also responsible for network design of city centre/ street work area's in liaison with local authority highways departments requiring survey/ design in accordance with NRSWA regulations.

DUTIES: Construction Site Engineer on Metro Link Project (City Centre Tram system) - Bridge refurbishment/ repair. Supervision/ inspection of sub contractor works plus the setting out and design of steel bridge re furb.

DUTIES: Design Assistant as part of HND Industrial Placement.

Sizewell B Nuclear power station design contract.

JULY 1989 - FEB 1990 BACHY FOUNDATIONS - LONDON

DUTIES: Construction Site Engineer in London city centre as part of Industrial Placement. Multi million £ contracts involving CFA, Bored & Secant pile foundations. Site locations included Canary Wharf Tower, Holborn and St Pauls.
