I am an experienced Planning Consultant with a background in Project Management, Construction and Engineering. Educated to degree level, I have worked for ten years in the Mechanical Petrochemical Installation, Rail Construction (Civil) and Nuclear/Defence environments on multi-discipline projects over their entire life cycles from feasibility, through concept and detailed design, decommissioning, implementation, testing, inactive and active commissioning and close out. I am commercially aware and regularly input to the strategic planning of the projects in which I am involved, contributing to procurement and contracting strategy development.

I am motivated and thrive in a high pressure environment. I am conscientious, patient, thorough and hard working with a commitment to achieving results and deadlines. I collaborate well with other stakeholders and project team members to ensure projects are controlled and delivered within budgetary and time constraints. I communicate effectively and have a robust understanding of planning processes, methodologies and procedures, and the experience to implement their application.

I am familiar with the development of Work Breakdown Structures and Project/Activity Codes, complex networks, constraint application, critical path analysis, baselining, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring, planning assumption reporting, Schedule Risk Analysis, Resource and Cost loading, resource levelling and the application of Earned Value Analysis (EVA).

I have used Primavera P3 and subsequently P3e extensively to plan and monitor progress on implementation and full life cycle projects. I have experience in the use of Microsoft Project, familiarity with Primavera P3e/c and SureTrak products and have completed both the Primavera SureTrak 401 Course and the Primavera P3e Web Based Training, in addition to reviewing the course contents of the P3 courses 601 to 604 and the P3e course 102.

I have word processing experience in Word and WordPerfect, spreadsheet experience of Excel and Lotus 1-2-3, graphical presentation experience in PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe Acrobat and experience in the development of custom databases in Microsoft Access.

I hold a full, clean British driving license, British Passport and Ministry of Defence Security Clearance to DV Level.

I am responsible for the creation, development and maintenance of approximately 30 multi-discipline project programmes totalling in excess of 4,000 activities for the Client's Small Project delivery team utilising Primavera P3e. Programmes are developed to the Clients process map concentrating on project delivery, network development, critical path analysis and completion/key date monitoring and acceleration techniques. Projects are updated on a monthly cycle utilising information gathered from the in house Project Management, Engineering and Construction Management Departments and from a number of design and implementation contractors. Responsibilities include inputting to the projects procurement and delivery strategies, publishing and distribution of the programmes, key milestone monitoring and progress report authoring, Contractors' programme review and feedback and progress validation.

Network Rail - Investment Delivery, Great Western

Senior Planner/Lead Planner Investment Delivery, February 2002 - October 2004

I was responsible for the development and maintenance of the Western Civil's Renewals department programmes utilising Primavera P3. Programmes were developed to Network Rail standards, utilising the approved implementation methodology and covered the life cycle of the project. All programmes were resourced, cost loaded and activity coded to allow integration with Business Planning and Project Management Reporting Software. I supervised the application of programming standards within the department and from external contractors, utilising standardised Activity Coding Structures, Resources and Calendars etc. Projects were updated every four weeks with information gathered from in-house project management teams, P3 programmes developed with Alliance Partners and Contractors' submitted programmes. Progress was validated by site visits.

I was responsible for the planning of numerous mechanical engineering projects using Primavera P3, with focus on network development, critical path analysis, resource loading to reflect budgets, outage & end date monitoring and corrective measure review. Activity Coding/WBS development and application, weekly progress monitoring, publishing of schedule and related project indicators including "S" Curves, bullet point narratives and productivity monitoring.

I was responsible for planning the major Mogas Benzene Project with total works exceeded 100,000 man-hours for Exxon/Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd. Post successful completion, to schedule, I planned numerous concurrent minor pipe work and steelwork fabrication and erection projects for Esso Self Managed Projects at the Esso Fawley Oil Refinery.
