on offshore and onshore installations. Such as platforms, semi- submersibles, production vessels and oil and gas storage facilities. The company provides maintenance personnel, management co-ordination and design personnel for all the facilities under their charge.
My role was to design a safety and weight control procedure, for the destruction of an existing redundant drilling derrick, and all it's ancillary equipment on the Montrose Alpha Platform. A new drilling facility was installed onto the cleared drill deck therefore, new top side platforms and frames were designed, constructed on shore and installed to accommodate the new drilling facility.

The Company is a large International Sub-Sea ROV Service provider and Sub-Sea Contractor specialising in the provision of Deep Water Engineering solutions. The Company have a number of different types of ROV systems complete with their own launch and recovery systems, operating at various water depths, and are presently designing an ROV operating trencher to work at 2500m depth.
The R & D / Design / Specifications / Installation Procedures / Procurement of Materials / Mobilisation Operations / Strategic Planning / Manpower requirements to complete any specific Project, is carried out at their offices and base at Bridge of Don .Aberdeen.
EXPERIENCE: - My main role within the Company is to provide

Designed Aeolus Traction Chassis Unit for the Bluestream Project to install 2 No. 24" pipelines between Russia and Turkey across the Black Sea. Also handling systems for the same project.
Site supervised the fabrication of 4 No. large sub-sea structures for Statoil at Babcock Offshore and Marine - Rosyth. 2No. of the structures were pipe protection covers and the other 2 were pipeline manifolds. Continued with the above project in Stavanger to complete commercial costs and final mobilisation.
Design installation details for the Centaur ROV System and the Flexjet trenching System on various types of vessels.

The Company is a large International Sub-sea Contractor specialising in the fabrication and installation of flexible oil and gas pipelines along the seabed, and the installation of other sub sea structures of which, are included as an integral part of the overall tendered Works.
The R & D / Design / Specifications / Installation Procedures / Procurement of Materials / Mobilisation Operations / Strategic Planning / Manpower requirements to complete a specific Project, is carried out at their offices at LeTrait. France and Westhill Aberdeenshire. The Westhill base concentrates in the northern sector of the North sea.
They have their own fleet of DSV Vessels , based at Aberdeen Harbour.
EXPERIENCE: - My main role within my designated Project team is to provide
Structural design support to the variable small fast- track sub-sea projects, this involved rigging analysis, seafastening calcs, catenary loading, break over calcs for the likely physical situations, and to provide operational back-up to the rest of the team, who have a large depth of Diving experience and knowledge between them (i.e. Diving Operations and Installation Procedures ).

Initially in Bridges Section within company working on Stonehaven by-pass on motorway construction and bridges.
Eighteen months spent on Deck Inspection Project for all SHELL / ESSO Platforms in the North Sea, as a Platform Supervisor for Fairhurst on rigs in the Brent, Cormorant, Dunlin, Fulmar and Auk fields. Duties included co-ordination of workforce in a safety to work permit system. Works comprised of inspection and repair of structural defects at pre-determined locations within the rig, record and report extent of defects and survey other areas for possible repair works.
Other works included to survey, design and document various sized civil and structural projects which included site supervision and liaison between Client and Contractor.
