EXPERIENCE:

2005 - Present Metronet Rail Ltd, London

Technical Project Engineer/Manager

Metronet Rail a consortium of 5 World class companies: Atkins, Balfour Beatty, EDF Energy,

Bombardier Transportation & RWE Thames Water is responsible for maintaining, replacing and

upgrading all infrastructures on 9 London Underground Tube Lines. Through PPP, Metronet Rail is

investing £17 billion during 30 years contract and has pledged to invest £2. 5 million every working

day for the first 7. 5 years of its contract

· Responsible for establishing all work streams and stakeholders. i.e. Stations & Track, Control Rooms & Rolling

Stock.

· Responsible for the coordination and overall management of Metronet Rail Project Engineering input into the

LUL Connect Project.

· Managed the Metronet Rail Technical Assurance Review Process for LUL Connect.

· Managed the Metronet Rail Handover Process for all LUL Enabled Assets.

· Primary interface between Metronet Rail planning/Co-ordinating function and LUL Connect

planning Co-ordinating/ function.

2002 - 2005Fluor Limited, London

LeadCable Management System Design Engineer

London Underground Limited Connect Project (a new Fibre Optic based Telecommunications Network and new Radio System) covering the whole of its business. Project UK market valued in 1998 at $500 million, part of $2 billion, with a workforce of 350 + Engineers from various disciplines

· Carried out site survey at customer sites for planning and installation of Transmission (fibre, copper, coax) and Radio Frequency cables based on pre-designed construction reports.

· Produced documentations for installation of Transmission equipment (SDH Transmission Cabinets, Fibre Optic Splice boxes & Copper Main Distribution Frame), Radio equipment (Enhanced Base Transceivers Stations, Amplifiers & Cross Over Filters), Radio and GPS antennas to meet customers requirements

· Worked closely with Civil and Electrical Engineers within the team to produce complete design installation documentations

· Liaised & interfaced with Motorola and Thales Telecom Services on regular basis to identify and resolve arising technical issues on Radio and Transmission design respectively to achieve projects specifications

· Achieved customers ( LUL and NR) approval on designed installation documentations to meet constructions requirement

RF Wireless Planning Engineer (October 01- May 02)

T- Mobile Wireless/GSM Project, a £ 125million/200 sites UK based project for installation of SDH equipment,

Microwave Radio & Antenna Systems

· Liased & interfaced with customer to incorporate individual requirement and provide expert advice to complete site survey for installation of Microwave Radio/Antenna systems & Nortel equipment for future 3G deployment

· Produced complete site survey report to enable Engineers carrying out installation of equipment as agreed with customer to meet project schedule.

· Checked & verified equipment stability test results and liased with Commissioning Engineer for any discrepancies and make necessary corrections to meet customer requirements

· Analysed requirements from Commissioning Engineers and identified key tests results to generate and deliver on strict deadline Certificate of Conformity to customer in preventing delays in payment

Customer Application Datacomms Engineer (April 00-October 01)

Cable & Wireless Pan European Network Project, spanning in 5 countries: UK, France, Germany, Holland and

Belgium comprising of 52 sites, built on High Speed Backbone Optical Equipment valued at £800 million

· Produced installation documentation based on low level design document for installation of SDH and Datacomms equipment ( Cisco Routers & Switches) for supporting Network management system for one of Europe biggest Network Management Centre (NMC), Düsseldorf, Germany

· Produced interconnectivity diagrams based on high level design documents for SDH and Cisco Routers/Switches interfacing to meet project requirements

· Assisted & helped Installation Engineers on interconnectivity diagrams for implementing high speed optical backbone transmissionequipment based on high/low level transmission design documents for correct installation.

· Represented the department in Project Management meetings and conference calls in UK and in France , as prime Engineer and a French speaker, for identifying and resolving arising problems for 14 French sites to ensure smooth operations as per project roll-out

Senior Customer Application SDH Transmission Engineer (Aug 99- April 00)

Cable & Wireless N2K Project, UK Largest SDH Network, consisting of 290 sites with installation of

Optical transmission equipment valued at £1 billion

· Undertaken site surveys at various customer sites for planning and installation of Nortel low & high capacity SDH equipment (STM 64,16,4,1) as part of UK largest SDH network of Cable & Wireless N2K project

· Advised customer when using 3rd party premises on cabling structure & floor space allocation for minimum cable run-outs reducing leasing cost

· Supported Engineers on technical issues and shortage of materials by liasing with project support group & materials controller to ensure installation is completed as planned reducing travelling resources time & cost

· Supervised & mentored new Engineers within the group by organising internal training on Nortels products and processes to ensure correct documentation is delivered to Site Engineers
