Work Experience

Final year projects:

Group Project:

As a group project our team built a formula student car from scratch. Generally I was involved with everything in the car but specifically I was responsible for the designing and manufacturing of the driver control system which included the steering system and gear lever. I designed a true Ackerman steering system and a gear lever working under the steering which provided extra ease for the driver while turning. This system was highly commended

Dissertation:

As a final year project at BRUNEL University for the Masters in Automotive Engineering I did a crash simulation of a motor vehicle using ABACUS. The objective of the dissertation was to predict the history of deformation of a motor vehicle frame in the event of full-width frontal impact against a rigid wall and the angle of the wall with respect to the front of the vehicle frame varying from 0° angle to 70° angle. The frame was moving at a speed of 13.89 m/s (50 km/h- 31 m/h) when it collides against the wall.

In order to achieve the objective a finite element model of the motor vehicle frame, with respect to the given dimensions, was developed to give an accurate representation of vehicle frame and an exact history of frame deformation was predicted.

Interests and Hobbies

Islamabad being my native city in Pakistan, which is a hilly area, I had been interested in hiking on margla hills. For the sake of my interest I also went to northern areas in Pakistan, which is famous all over the world for hiking tracks. Apart from that I like playing cricket and table tennis.

I also love studying whenever I get some spare time.
