Advanced Project Quality Engineer

ˇ Provide support for all Quality related functions within APQP guidelines and intra-company procedures for electronics products including Car Audio and Rear Seat Entertainment Systems.

ˇ Prepare and submit PPAP documentation to various customers at launch stage of each project.

ˇ Submit monthly report to Ford reference APQP status for all electronic programs involved in.

ˇ Head DFMEA review meetings with design team for all related advanced programs including: BMW/Mini R56 Radio, Ford B2yy Radio; Ford C307 Radio; Peugeot 207 Radio; Volvo DVD.

ˇ Contribute Quality 'deliverables' at all stages of intra-company APQP processes for gate sign-offs.

ˇ Provide customer quality support throughout project to launch (Job1+90days) including regular visits reviewing open or new concerns. Also, agree actions for operational quality issues raised.

ˇ Responsible for managing customer generated KPI status - scored on number of open concerns, response time to concerns raised, ppm, product delivery (including quantity accuracy, timings etc).

ˇ Responsible for answering customer generated 8Ds and reporting to senior management regarding Quality status and subsequent actions.

ˇ Lead company 'Lessons Learned Review Meetings' for each project in order to help avoid possible mistakes when things went wrong or repeat process when things went right.

Supplier Quality Engineer (DEAS SK)

ˇ Part of an exclusive team set-up to help support the transfer of knowledge and experience to DEAS personnel at company's new production facility in Slovakia - DEAS UK site closed.

ˇ Manage and develop component suppliers on behalf of organization with regular supplier visits, audits, plus quality tools incl. Balanced Score Cards, APQP (PPAP), SPC & 8Ds.

Also define SQA requirements to suppliers including PPAP content & priority level, ongoing adherence to aiag standard requirements; company requirements and supplier's procedures.

ˇ Manage day-to-day supplier related operational quality issues including raising corrective actions and quality alerts. Full support given to production team at all times including out of office hours.

ˇ Member of daily production meeting team set-up to deal with all operational issues affecting predetermined Business Plan goals (e.g. KPIs). Urgent issues sometimes escalated to board level.

Quality Systems Engineer (DEAS UK)

ˇ Led and managed company drive to maintain QS9000 and achieve ISO9001:2000 certification status with an end goal of TS16949:2002 by December 2005.

ˇ Defined and implemented more process based approach to company QMS as stipulated in TS16949 - away from the systems based approach often used by QS9000 through the re-writing of company procedures and work instructions with project team.

ˇ Managed and co-ordinated company Internal Audit Schedule and reporting back to senior management with results. Identified and trained interested company personnel for Internal Audits.

ˇ Managed and controlled company Calibration database for measuring instruments and equipment.

ˇ Company Document controller responsible for the introduction, archiving or up-issuing of all company Quality System Documents, including updating and maintaining company intranet web pages used in order to facilitate QSD access.

ˇ Designated Auditor in the carrying out of internal audits of company manufacturing processes against laid down procedures.

ˇ Responsible for company APQP procedural techniques for the introduction of new projects such as BMW/Mini's R50 R/W Wiper System and G.M.'s J3200 Epsilon W/W Wiper systems.

ˇ Responsible for preparing and submitting PPAP documentation customers. Docs typically including: PFMEAs, Control and Inspection Plans, Process Capability Studies, MSAs, Run-at-rates trials etc.

Supplier Quality Engineer

ˇ Responsible for all Supplier Quality Assurance related activities within large 580 staff factory including developing and maintaining existing suppliers in order to ensure compliance to defined company QMS requirements. Scope stretched from defining PPAP

ˇ Responsible for identifying best & worst suppliers by generating reports from quality database (using Red/ Amber/ Green traffic light system) - an excellent tool for setting up priorities.

ˇ Reported daily in management meeting regarding current operational quality issues affecting production.

ˇ Reported monthly to Trico directors regarding overall performance of vendors of production parts with a view to adding more impetus in resolving any outstanding supplier issues.
