- Design and modelling of Deck Drains and HP Mud lines for a semi-submersible platform.
- Equipment modelling (PDMS) for MFP01, a new multi-purpose drill ship. Piping layout and clash resolution.
- Isometric production and revision using Isodraft and Draft modules. All related to the various platform modules associated with drilling operations e.g. Mud Module, Drill Deck, Undersea Control Module, Bulk Storage etc.
- Updating of P&ID’s as the Project progressed and as Vendor information became available – Autocad 2007 LT
- Isometric checking/yellow line checking

- Pipeline alignment drawings, layouts and arrangement drawings, and details drawings for AGD-II and OGD-III projects. Microstation drafting and modifications. Introduced a drawing tracking system to follow design progress. Responsible to Pipeline Engineer.

- Pemex accommodation module of Haku M for Petroleos Mexicanos. Isometric production and Material take-off; using Cadpipe software (an add-on for Autocad 2006). 3-D modelling using Cadpipe software.

- Sakhalin Project for Russian client – Lunskoye and Piltun platforms.
- Plant Layout Group – Checking of piping isometrics with P&ID’s to ensure conformity.
- Mechanical handling Group – studies (using PDMS) to ensure that valves can be maintained and replaced with the minimum of impact on the plant. To establish the extent of modifications to steelwork, ducting or cable trays.
- Progress recording – Responsible to task force leader.
- Safety Group – Drafting/modification of system isometrics (AutoCad) required by for hydraulic calculations.
- Updated PDMS experience to version 11.4

- Pipeline layout drawings in preparation for pipeline route survey.
- Preparation of Pipeline Alignment drawings using survey data and layout drawings in conjunction with existing pipeline layouts.
- Layout and drafting of flow diagrams – Process Flow diagrams, Utility Flow diagrams, and Piping & Instrumentation diagrams.

- Plant layouts for projects in or associated with the Paper Industry. Layout of new equipment in existing buildings, also preliminary layout of new buildings.
- Layout and detail design of special purpose machinery.
- Liaison with suppliers, architects and contractors.
- Shared responsibility for preliminary site survey work at sites in Kent and Cornwall.
- Updated PDMS experience to version 11.1.
- Responsible to Project Engineer.

- Worked on Major Projects, both onshore and offshore, including BP ETAP and Chevron Alba platforms.
- Many years experience with the industry standard PDMS 3-D computer modelling system.
- Experience with the Catalogue and Specification aspect of PDMS.
- Responsible for much of the computer modelling of project equipment.
- Initiated equipment status reporting system.
- Responsible for the resolution of piping clashes, as determined by the PDMS Clash Check procedure.
- Responsible for the initial project setup for the BP Saltire project and the transfer of manually drafted piping arrangements into the computer model on this project.
- Variously responsible to Area Leaders or Senior Piping Engineers.

- Involved in major projects for British Nuclear Fuels and BP (Miller platform).
- Manually draughted project for the Royal Ordnance Factory.
- Joined company to take advantage of PDMS training course (but stayed for five years). Learnt most day to day aspects of PDMS including piping and equipment modelling, general arrangement and isometric drawing production. Extensive ‘on the job’ training after a formal two week course by CAD Centre personnel.
