Cover Letter to Whom It May Concern.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have forwarded my CV for your perusal in the hope that your company might have an opening for someone with my immense talents and experience.

As you will see from my CV, I have a NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate, which I have put to good use over the last four years, being a Safety Advisor with Weir Services, Alstoms and T.E.C on numerous outages, in the nuclear, gas and steam turbine boilers.

During these outages I was in charge of approximately thirty to fifty five persons, depending on the size of the contract, to whom I was responsible for their health and safety, site inductions, tuition, daily toolbox talks and accident reporting.

I was also responsible for conducting daily walk abouts with the client, carrying out regular audits on the employees and their workplaces. I also carried out risk assessments and did method statements on certain unplanned work, usually of a lifting and slinging nature, on large lifts.

I am currently under going a NVQ level 4, on health and safety, which I have completed the four units and hope to have it completed before the end of the year.

I have applied for IOSH membership and have been accepted as an "Affiliate" member for now, and hope to become a full member in due course when I complete my NVQ 4.

I am looking for work in any sector, which you might think I could be best qualified and experienced to do. I have worked away from home for the best part of fifteen years off and on, and have no problem of relocating or travelling, as work of this nature in Scotland is few and far between.

At Weir Services I earned approximately thirty to thirty five thousand a year, on which I worked a considerable amount of overtime.

I would love a salary similar to that that I have had, but realise that the experience and qualifications are not as yet there for that type of wage, and I am prepared to be flexible, and consider all available opportunities.

I do hope, I have submitted to you enough information about myself as to allow you to form an opinion, as to what type of work I could be best place in.

Yours truly,
