SENIOR ROTATING EQUIPMENT PROJECT ENGINEER.

Part of the PMC team appointed by Shell to project manage the EPC contractor through construction to

operational handover of the "Pearl" gas to liquids plant in Qatar. Responsible for the plants rotating

equipment supporting the clients Flawless Start-up Initiative (FSI) as a Q captain.

Adopting the project from the FEED team providing project management and start-up support of the

overall onshore Pearl GTL complex, along with engineering, procurement and construction management

of the GTL synthesis related rotating equipment.

Jan 2004-Jul 2006 Marathon Oil Company. LNG Equatorial Guinea Africa

OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER.

Responsible for the optimisation of the plant rotating equipment increasing reliability and availability of

equipment through the development and implementation of maintenance plans, activities & root cause

analysis resulting in power plant availability increasing from <78% to circa >98%.

Structuring and managing equipment support agreements (LTSA), defined and managed front line and

capital spares, maintenance regimes (SAP CMMS) and capital equipment outages.

Undertook the training and development of the National operations staff, increasing the plants national

Staff content to >92% .

Site project-managed the installation and plant integration of GE Frame units on behalf of Marathon Oil.

Directed and administered project related activities ensuring internal and external contractual, HSE and

operational requirements were met.

Budgetary: Maintenance $1.5M. EPC contract value $23M. Staff: 1 Direct, 26 Indirect.

2002 - 2004 Siemens (Previously Ruston & Alstom Gas Turbines) UKLincoln

GLOBAL FIELD SUPPORT MANAGER.

Provided leadership to a team of 180+ engineers working worldwide - planning, setting and maintaining

standards and procedures, and being the main focus of Siemens customer support. Developed skills

and expertise within those groups to support Siemens fleet of gas turbines and other 3 rd party service

centres. The groups provided global Specialist support (Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls)

to end users.

Budgetary: Payroll £4M. Overheads £110K, Responsibility: £5M Staff: 150 Direct Engineers, 35 Resident Engineers.
