¨ Thirty five years post apprenticeship experience in various engineering and construction industries ranging from power stations, ships, distilleries, fixed offshore and sub-sea platforms, floating production, storage and off loading facilities, vessel conversions, drilling rigs, LNG plant, gas plants etc.

¨ Main position over the last several years has been commissioning and start up and quality control, but still very much involved with construction supervision, inspection and planning to interface the joint activities.

CAREER HISTORY

September 2000-present NES Americas, USA.

¨ Senior Quality Control engineer responsible in the design office for checking data sheets, design drawings, specifications etc., prepared by design contractor.

¨ Attended factory acceptance tests on various rotating machinery, Honeywell DCS for train 2 & 3 and Delta V OADCS control system for train 4, SIS logic control for shutdown system, Fired heaters, LNG compressors and controls etc.

¨ Transferred to the construction yard for the supervision of QC and construction of the LNG plant in Trinidad.

¨ Set up inspection records, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.

¨ Oversee construction, inspection, pre-commissioning at the ALNG site in Trinidad carried out by EPC

Contractor.

¨ These activities were spent equally between the design office and the construction yard for the LNG trains 2, 3&4.

July 1999 - March 2000 GUPCO, Cairo, Egypt.

¨ Commissioning co-ordinator for Ha'py Gas Project, Egypt.

¨ Prioritize systems for construction, commissioning and start up.

¨ Liaise with site teams and offshore teams to implement tracking system and completions turnover.

¨ Highlight materials, equipment and manpower required for start up.

¨ Completed the plant start up using an integrated commissioning and operations team.

¨ Instrument Engineer for the LNG plant (Train 1) in Trinidad.

¨ Commissioning Engineer assigned to the CATS project. Responsible for the preparation of commissioning procedures and liaison with the multi-site fabrication yards specifically to establish the planning and coordination of testing requirements, system priorities, hook up and commissioning activities. Followed through with offshore commissioning and start up with joint commissioning and operations team prior to platform hand over.

Involving maintenance and repairs on 30MW generators, steam turbines, boilers, precipitators, cranes, transformers, cathodic protection, O.C.B.S., A.C.B.S., low and high voltage switchgear and motors, instrument calibrations and maintenance on coal, oil and gas fired equipment. In addition, gained experience in drawing office at Townhill gas power station and worked on RB211 engines and control systems.

Attended various courses including Permit to Work procedures, Safety, First Aid and Fire Fighting.
