Working on board rigs operated by Sonat, Global, Reading & Bates, Sedco, Rowan, Santa Fe, BHP, Fina, Conoco and Ensco as well as from onshore in the rig operator's office. On these assignments, organised and coordinated arrangements to ensure onsite availability of personnel and materials to meet operational requirements at lowest cost, concurrent with policies on safety and the protection of the environment.

While working on offshore sites collated the handling of the offloading land back-loading of the equipment to ensure extra priority and care was given to urgent/high cost items being offloaded. Similarly ensuring high cost rental items were given priority on back-loads in the event of space on vessels becoming critical. From constant review of the current well operations raised requisitions for next load-out again ensuring cost effectiveness by ensuring high cost rental items were not called forward too early. Also responsible for arranging 'Hot-Shot' transport for onward shipment of urgent equipment sent in by helicopter for inspection/repair. Additional responsibilities include recording, calculating and reporting the daily and cumulative costs of up to £6,000,000 for these materials and services also preparation of transportation documentation such as

manifests, dangerous goods declarations, customs declarations, controlled waste disposal documents and quality assurance certification.

During quiet period in Phillips worked as spares engineer on the Agip/Tiffany maintenance project. Liasing with engineers and capital equipment suppliers prepared data sheets with all relevant specifications, lead times etc. The data inputs then processed information prior to submitting to Agip logistics/purchasing department.

Developed and achieved management commitment to mandatory use of airfreight authorization process to achieve desired reduction in aviation costs.
