Responsible for the design of EMC earthing, production of layouts and single line diagrams. Switchroom layouts also plant and road lighting layouts and single line diagrams. This work includes liaison with other disciplines, checking design drawings and controlling design effort within the electrical section. Reviewing and commenting on other discipline vendor drawings for a bio ethanol plant.

Draughting and checking single line diagrams, schematics and earthing arrangements after
as built process, by site teams, surveying Transco/National Grid gas compressor stations.

Block cable diagrams, single line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts and cable routing for
various Sellafield nuclear projects.

Collation of electrical technical information and inputting to project database. Development of electrical, control and instrumentation diagrams for the construction of gas turbine generation and compression units. Preparation and issue of electrical/C & I and Fire & Gas wiring diagrams, cable schedules, bills of material and unit layout drawings, using process and instrumentation diagrams as the basis for design. Inspection and checking of electrical, F & G and C & I drawings to verify conformance with design specification. Liasing and assisting engineers of all disciplines in project design. Shop floor problem solving. Production of ‘as built’ drawings.

On site investigation and updating drawings, schedules and various other documents concerned with submarine refit projects.

Site surveys, layouts ,indoor/outdoor lighting schemes, lighting calculations, cable calculations,
schematics and cost estimates for small projects associated with modifications for healthy & safety, security and general upgrading of a paper mill.

Site survey prior to plant demolition.
Design of cable containment, cable routing, cable schedules, layout of HV and LV switchrooms. Participation in design review and declashing teleconferences with plant designers in the United States, for a pulp and paper project. Site technical back-up/supervision during construction phase.

Block cable diagrams, wiring diagrams, junction box / panel arrangements and layouts, cable routing layouts for a BNFL project.

Design of cable support steelwork for various parts of plant on a 3x700MW coal fired power station for Malaysia.

Production of cable schedules and cable sizing reports using Microsoft Access. Production of single line diagrams, starter diagrams, equipment location drawings, cable and tray routing drawings for a zone 1 chemical plant.
