Employed to produce a Demolition Management System (DMS) manual to be implemented into the British Nuclear Group suite of compliant documents.

Duties include liaison with client demolition team and demolition consultancy (RVA Engineering); production of demolition manual following review of existing documentation from British Standards, through to company procedures and external organisations' documentation; benchmarking against current best-practice strategies; and auditing existing documentation against fit-for-purpose needs. Also responsible for the production of Plant Modification Proposals; updating internal QA documentation and deputising for the Office Manager in his absence.

Responsibilities included managing the demolition teams and supervising the demolition of 190 Ministry of Defence installations around the UK. Key duties included carrying out site surveys; producing and issuing Method Statements; carrying out Risk Assessments for the demolition activities, submitting these to the client for note/approval; supervision of actual demolition and subsequent earthworks to industry standards. Post demolition, further duties included carrying out site surveys to ensure all activities were carried out in accordance with necessary documentation (system and process audit) and the issuing of Completion Certificates for each site. Additional duties included attending pre-site survey meetings to assess the requirements of each site; producing progress reports and attending progress meetings with the client; liaison with sub-contractors to ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with project timescales; troubleshooting and problem solving.
