Skills & Expertise

I am an apprentice-trained engineer with more than 40 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and maintenance of plant and equipment in a variety of industries. I have work experience in the nuclear, chemical, oil & gas, petro-chemical, medical and electronic industries; in a number of positions, including mechanical/electrical apprentice, design draughtsman, plant/process design and development engineer, mechanical/electrical commissioning engineer, C.E&I engineer and project engineer/project management.

During my working life I have gained a broad multi-discipline engineering experience from hands-on practical employment through to management, and feel very comfortable communicating at all levels from tradesmen to senior managers.

I am conversant with personnel computer packages including MSOffice, MSProject and various CAD packages including AutoCAD. I have also gained knowledge of computer programming.

At home, I use my time in maintaining and improving my family home, enhancing my knowledge of electronics and computing, and during the spring and summer months, I play tennis at my local club.
