During the commissioning of the EVOH plant my responsibilities were to carry out any calibrations needed, complete all interlock checks and assist with any problems associated with the Honeywell TPS DCS system. Also the appraisal of the trip check procedure and carrying out of the logic checks to the Honeywell FSC System. After the commissioning stage I moved over to the maintenance team and set up maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance routines.

In the research and development laboratories my duties were to loop check and recommission the experimental rigs to the PC based Lab View software, after they were moved to Saltend from Sunbury.

On the A4 acetic acid plant I was responsible for the loop checking of all the loops to the PC based Honeywell TDC 3000 in the new central control room.

Career To Date 07/96 - 08/02 A.B.B./Alstom Power Generation Various Cont.Instrument Technician

On various Closed Cycle Gas Turbine Power Stations ranging from 396 to 525 M.W. including GT13E2 and GT26B gas turbines, associated Balance of Plant, Heat Recovery Steam Generators and Steam Turbines. My duties included all loop checks and calibrations back to a range of control systems including P13, P14, Advant, Turbotrol and Egatrol. Also commissioning support during start up and 30-day reliability runs. Stations worked on include; South Humber Bank, Muara Tawar (Indonesia), Enfield, Shoreham, Komotini (Greece) and Lumut (Malasia).

Traveling

Traveled around the world for seven months visiting such countries as India, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Hawaii.
