| I am a freelance public relations consultant with over nine years industry experience. I offer a broad range of marketing communications services including public relations, pay per click advertising and feature / editorial writing. My PR career includes an excellent mix of agency and in-house campaigns and I have worked with leading corporate and public sector clients including, Ulster Bank (Part of the RBS Group), CB Richard Ellis and The Northern Ireland Tourist Board. I can offer a comprehensive array of services, including: • Proactive PR campaign design • Campaign management • Press release drafting and distribution • Media relations • Media monitoring and evaluation • Crisis management • Reactive media strategy (inc. day-to-day management) • Issue management I have solid experience in managing campaigns and projects in-house and for PR clients. Typically this process will include: • Drafting and securing client agreement on a PR plan • Managing all aspects of the PR campaign • Ensuring media production of coverage • Full media monitoring and evaluation. Throughout my career I have been responsible for drafting press releases for both print and broadcast media and have also written numerous feature articles and opinion columns for leading UK and Irish publications including The Mirror, The Scotsman and Business and Finance magazine. I am also experienced in writing for the web and previously managed the content production for several websites. My services also include search marketing (Pay Per Click) campaigns for clients across a wide spectrum of industries including travel and hospitality. Recently, I completed a Master’s Degree in Professional Communication from Sheffield Hallam University (Oct 2008). Clients include the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and CB Richard Ellis. As an Account Manager I worked closely with clients to devise and implement PR strategies, co-ordinate day-to-day PR activity including liaising with journalists, drafting press stories and media analysis / evaluation.
