I was responsible for building a network of distributors for an Aloe Vera health product. I had built a team of 5 distributors all from cold calling and personally trained them to build customer bases of around twenty people or so. However the credit crunch started to eat into the monthly sales figures and people begun to lose heart, including myself, so it fizzled out.

I was a member of a large team of care assistants, caring for elderly residents.
There were many different challenges due to a number of the residents having age related mental health problems.
Duties included adminstering medication, meals, personal hygiene, and relevant activities.
I enjoyed this job tothe fullest due to the fact that everyday was different. I left in 1998 to have a baby.

I found this job very boring due to the fact that I simply spent all day recieving and sending faxed P.O.D.s'
I left very soon after starting as I felt I was worth more.

This was an apprenticeship style training based work placement. I enjoyed the aspects of the work involved such as locating parts for the workshop, stock ordering, invoicing and dealing with the public. However, it was a very male dominated environment and I was left feeling rather uncomfortable on many occasions and decided to leave.
