Freelance Designer & Programmer
I offer a professional multi-disciplined technical service covering Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Database design, Web Application Development and Computer Programming.
During my time as a freelance designer and programmer I have been given excellent opportunities to work for a wide variety of different companies and individuals, all with very different needs which has given me a wealth of new experiences and knowledge that I intend to continually expand. I have the flexibility to work from home, office or on location.
Below are details of my freelance capabilities:
• CAD/CAM/CAE
o I have a wide range of software at my disposal and I am currently using AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 and SolidWorks to produce two dimensional drawings and three dimensional modeling.
o I use UGS NX5 for advanced three dimensional computer modeling, product development, assembly design, mould and tooling design, BOM generation, offline 5-axis machining verification and post processing. I also use EdgeCAM v11.0 and SolidCAM for machining verification, offline NC programming and post processing.
o I have experience with many software products including AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Pro Engineer Wildfire 3, SolidWorks and UGS NX4 and NX5.
o I arrange to have designs produced out of house using rapid prototyping techniques such as SLA, investment casting, CNC milling and CNC turning.
• Database design
o Currently using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for large database development projects, this software has greater capability than the Microsoft Office Access application, which I use for smaller database projects. I develop database architecture, write effective and efficient code and can integrate databases into web application projects.
o I use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 in conjunction with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, which allows me to script, sandbox test, debug and deploy custom Common Language Runtime (CLR) and SQL stored procedures.

o Languages/server technologies include PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, VB, J#, C# and Java.
o For more technical web application development I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 in conjunction with Microsoft SQL Server system.
• Computer Programming
o Programming languages I use currently are Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic, Visual J# for software application development.
o I use the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 IDE to perform many of the tasks involved in software and database development which includes application architecture design, debugging, scripting classes, scripting methods, creating arrays, types, notification, sandbox testing, source code protection, DLL compilation and deployment.
