Responsible for Change Requests and redevelopment of three Mobile PDA Applications.
The first System being created in Cognito forms which is an industry standard.
The second two being written in C#.net. My role was to firstly Migrate these apps to a visual studio 2008 environment from vs studio 2003. This also included frame work migration 2.0 to 3.5 sp1. and add functionality to incorporate a timesheet logging system.

This Also included the redevelopment of two Client PC systems.
1 being a Win forms Application and the other an Access Project.

Payroll System Migration Project(Contract)
Redevelopment of an Access 97 Based Payroll solution into a Visual Studio C# Winforms Environment.
Basic Tasks where to redevelop implement and migrate all existing data into from an access database into a SQL Server 2005 Environment and Develop a Front End for this system using C# and Winforms. All Business logic and Data Access Layers where included in this development. Also Business analysis skills where required as there was no Data gathering or project structure available.

Responsible for the Solution, Integration and implementation of a 3rd party piece of software. This involved, looking at the current systems and seamlessly integrating this software allowing it to perform a business critical function Duties also include testing and rollout and implementation of a web based portal.

Responsible for the redevelopment of reporting systems within Anglo Irish. This involved VB6/VB.NET redevelopment. SQL Server Optimization and Views/stored procedure redevelopment, DTS development and optimization, XML/XSLT/XSD/STX/XQUERY Development from T24 JBase database, Active X, Scripting (VB, Batch) Business Objects Development.

Utilities, AIP Project (Contract, 11 Month Extension)
Responsible for the development and upgrading of Eirgrid’s IT systems to allow them to fit in to the new Single Market Operator between the north and south of Ireland. Main tasks and duties include taking existing data feeds from Oracle, redeveloping them to allow them to be sent into a web-based service using the following technologies: BPEL, Cape Clear, Eclipse, PL/SQL, ORACLE, VB.NET, JAVA, XSLT, XML, SYBASE/RAPID SQL (other data sets). Business Systems Analysis (Gathering information from the business and breaking this down into logical components.

Mail Handler Project (Contract, Initially 3 Months)
Redevelopment and migration of three in-house mail handler systems from a single machine to a server.

Financial, PTP Migration Project (Contract)
Responsible for the gathering, technical testing and Solutioning of Access Databases, Excel Spreadsheets, VB Applications, Applications. And many other Aspects i.e. Solutions within the requirements of the project.

Primarily dealing with and managing any system on the Windows NT platform and ensuring that this migrated and functioned correctly on the windows XP Platform. This entailed taking a in-house application and migrating it with all of its dependencies, redeveloping if required and taking into account user requirements, i.e. profiling, recoding; ensuring that rollout dates were met; also providing support to the solutions developed and documenting any changes made.

Skills used: VBA/VB Programming, .Net Development, Database Development, Platform Solutioning (creating Patches and hot fixes and determining how to implement these),SYBASE/RAPID SQL, SQL Server Migration and Configuration. Oracle Development, Project Management, Registry Configuration, Technical Testing & Analysis, Many more skills. This project pushed me to limits, allowing me to really excel and use my skills.

Utilities, Shared Reports Department (Contract)
Developing software that talks to Telecommunication Call routing data and provides MIS Statistical and reporting information and any other adhoc or bespoke services required using C#.Net, VB6, SQL Server, Ingress 11, HTML, ASP and a multitude of different packages to allow effective reporting statistics to be available for management. Other daily duties included data migration, IIS Admin, Web Development, Database Admin (SQL, Oracle and Ingress, SYBASE, RAPID SQL, Access 2000 and database redevelopment, VB Scripting writing and amending, Excel Macro Recoding). VBA Recoding and Database Redevelopment, Database Migration SQL server Config and redevelopment. Business Objects Development.

Connexions Direct is an advice hotline for 8-19 yr old children requiring help with matters from child abuse to careers advice. This is a service provided by the Department for Education which is put out to tender every 5 years. The Essentiagroup won this contract which meant that all IT systems implemented had to adhere to a government standard. I joined this company as The Essentiagroup assumed control. The contract required massive IT restructuring.
▪ In the first two months I single-handedly ran and administered the existing network IT provision, including advanced active directory service, administration, data migration (Access/Excel, SQL, VB Rescripting and migration ETC), network security - correcting all faults and ensuring business continuity.
▪ Working as part of a team and liaising with the project manager to set up and develop a secure network system using Windows Server 2000, Active Directory Services, IIS, Exchange, bespoke call monitoring software, hardware/firewall configuration and installation; also creating new business IT contingency and back-up procedures to allow for a stable, secure network IT provision.
▪ Closing down old network provision and handling all data migration aspects of this, ensuring that all work carried out was within ISO standards.

Set-up of IT system for a small aeroplane rental company (Contract)
▪ Providing the network IT solution and booking system software solution to enable shares to be sold in the production and rental leasing of 5 Flexwing aeroplanes.
This involved the development of a small LAN and a VPN being set up to allow users of the service to log in and effectively book and view plane booking status using a software solution, created in VB And Microsoft Access. I developed and implemented this project from start to finish.
