CV

Currently independently contracting as a Business, Business Process, and Compliance Analyst, Consultant and Project Manager with extensive and international experience covering business process design, engineering and improvement, change, risk, and compliance management, in business, operational, finance, IT and software solutions process areas and all areas of general insurance. I am experienced in leading, participating in, or providing guidance to teams of up to 50 associate and client personnel on projects from ‘small’ to several million pounds budget size and from inwardly focussed to global in extent. I operate at all levels and enjoy translating/interfacing between business, support, technology, finance areas and third party suppliers, in national and worldwide markets and cultures, to facilitate effective communication and ensure common understanding of goals.

Flexible and adaptable, with ability to fast-track new skills and methodologies; I have an analytical mind and the ability to ’think outside of the box’, identifying and advocating opportunities for rational change, improvement and savings, ensuring goals are clear to all parties and achieved or bettered, and that, while concentrating on detail, the bigger picture is clearly understood and maintained in focus. An enthusiastic team leader/player, experienced in co-ordinating teams of various sizes, skills and cultures, and equally confident working solo, I enjoy taking on new challenges, skills, experience and knowledge and developing the skills and capabilities of others. I do hold strong beliefs in pragmatism, honesty, integrity, a “can do” approach and knowledge exchange/transfer.

My experience skills and knowledge include involvement in full project, product, development and test life-cycles; feasibility, requirements and business process analysis, design, modelling, conceptualising and re-engineering; project management; business continuity planning and disaster recovery; testing, auditing and validation; quality, risk and change management; billing, finance, compliance and regulatory consultancy (e.g. FSA & SOX); data analysis and reporting; client facing account/relationship management; business to TP liaison and translation, trouble shooting and issue resolution; functional systems design and configuration; documenting, including requirement analyses, full cycle test plans, test cases, user guides, manuals, reports, and documentation controls; presenting workshops, mentoring and training at all levels. I am familiar with and provide guidance and training in the use of a wide range of applications including MSP, Lotus, Visio, System Architect, Enterprise Architect, SQL, automated test tools and numerous “in-house” products.
