Development of a variety of applications for Corporate Systems. Full ownership of projects, from inception to production. Working with Business Analysts to gather requirements; design and document initial solution, produce working prototypes, and follow through with hands-on development.

Produced web-applications using Java, Java Script, JSP, Servlets, and Spring, running on tomcat.

Developed PL/SQL, PERL and shell based application to interface with Bloomberg server to collect market data, and to produce analytical reports.

Lead a team of six developers through all phases of project development and delivery of key systems for the Credit Risk department.

Responsible for scheduling tasks, supporting systems and UAT test, and providing second-line support, and hands-on development of the most challenging aspects of the project, including:

Migration of legacy Risk Exposure system responsible for processing and delivering more than 600,000 OTC trades a week. Migrated system was a multi-threaded application written in Java with supporting scripts in PERL and PL/SQL.

Batch system (PERL and PL/SQL) to produce daily and weekly trade and valuation batch files, and to calculate the price of FX and PM options for European and American options.

Provide consultancy to British Airways, following different phases of implementation of Trilogy’s CRM solution into a worldwide revenue management tool.

Responsible for developing back-end applications to integrate Trilogy’s core products to British Airways corporate dealing system. Application developed in Java and Oracle included: Online tool to forecast deal performance, loading, calculation and payment engines to process 2 million flight coupons monthly.

Disseminate/enforce QA standards, following Trilogy’s Agile methodology, which includes: suite of JUnit tests to cover at least 85% of the code, peer review of code and tests, continuous build, and monthly delivery cycle.

Manage the transition to the offshore development team (in Bangalore), and lead them (4 developers) through meetings, code reviews, testing and delivery of new releases, and training sessions (onsite in London and offsite in Bangalore)

AD*Views is a client-server application to allow access to Nielsen’s database of media audience. Product is licensed to TV stations and advertisement agencies across the country, to track the performance of ads placed on different media. The success of the re-engineering effort led to better performance and maintainability, allowing Nielsen to remain competitive and the product to gain substantial market share.

Re-engineer the server side (C++) of the application. The effort involved a complete redesign and rewrite of more than 100K lines of C++ code, developing a system of parameterised queries that made the system faster, more reliable, and scalable, by applying OO design, and decoupling SQL from the C++ code.
