(Nov 2005 to Feb 2008)

Function / Bar Supervisor

Lewes

Main activities and responsibilities
I was integral in the build up to and running of most Food & Beverage events, ranging from smaller functions to larger (150+ cover) weddings. I was working with and leading a team of up to 10 waiters and waitresses of varying nationalities. As a result team-work was at a premium throughout events and good organisational, customer and personal skills were essential at all times. My other responsiblities included the ordering of liquor, beer and soft drinks on a weekly basis. The work was both physically and mentally very demanding, for instance during the wedding season my working day was often as long as 14 hours. The job was very much hands-on and I would often help with waitering and bar work both in functions and in the restaurant, which had 2 AA Rosettes.
