I am fluent in German and translate from German into English, mainly in the travel and tourism sector, but also have experience in marketing, legal, advertising, journalism and accounting translation.

I have many years proofreading experience and am now doing it on a freelance basis. I have worked with newspapers, magazines, students and many companies ranging across all sectors to help them with websites and various forms of documentation.

This involved setting up and monitoring Adword campaigns for large international companies. I have worked on the PPC accounts of 7 major companies and required me to be organised, ameanable to changes in the markets and highly innovative to make sure my PPC ads had the highest click through rates.

I was responsible for the recruitment of IT specialists in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This involved responsibilities such as:

o developing and maintaining a virtually non-existent market and building up a database of clients and candidates
o headhunting
o cold / warm calling
o resourcing
o translation of marketing documents
o selling mine and my company’s services and negotiating terms

As a marketing assistant for consumer power tools, household and garden products for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets, my placement involved various responsibilities such as:

o product management for meetings / magazine editors / Key Account Managers / consumers;
o catalogue / leaflet design;
o daily communication with sales representatives / managers from all EMEA markets / Key Account Managers and consumers with regards to the shipment of product samples and product queries;
o translation of catalogues, product packaging, magazine articles and legal documents;
o controlling and producing a weekly overview of sales according to performance of stockists and sales representatives.
