1986 - Present HM Forces Royal Air Force

2002 - Present Line Manager.

➢ Manager of up to twenty five personnel in an electrical and mechanical component maintenance and repair facility for Tornado F3 and Hawk aircraft.

➢ Responsible for the organisation, administration, control and welfare of employees.

➢ Accountable for Quality Assurance matters and the Health and Safety of personnel.

➢ Introduced 'Lean' work practices throughout all areas of responsibility.

➢ Closure of various maintenance facilities for geographical relocation (HIOS and 4 into 1).

➢ Responsible for upkeep of IT hardware and training of staff in all current computer operating systems.

➢ Implement all engineering policy changes, training and authorisation of personnel.

1999 - 2002Modification Program Project Manager.

➢ Manager of up to thirty Service and civilian engineering personnel employed on Tornado F3 2000 electrical modification program.

➢ Responsible for aircraft in excess of £30 million ensuring all deliverables are met within stringent time scales.

➢ Manage all aspects of project including the planning, supply, implementation, post installation testing and delivery to the customer.

➢ Electrical inspection and independent testing of completed areas of program.

➢ Accountable for Quality Assurance matters and the Health and Safety of all personnel.

1998 - 1999 Electrical Operation and Evaluation Supervisor.

➢ Supervisor of all electrical personnel employed on Tornado F3 Operational and Evaluation Unit, carrying out trials and testing of new and prototype electrical and weapon systems to be embodied fleet wide.

➢ Frequent communication and liaison with industry and outside agencies.

1995 - 1998Flight Line Maintenance Supervisor

➢ Supervised team of up to fifteen personnel in 1 st Line maintenance of Tornado F3 aircraft electrical and weapon systems.

➢ Manager of up to seventy five personnel in flight line activities including servicing, replenishment, and ground handling of Tornado F3 aircraft.

1994 - 1995 Flight Line Maintenance Manager

➢ Manager for all flight line activities on Ascension Island, ensuring quick turnaround of all transiting aircraft, including Tristar, VC10 and Hercules.

➢ Solely responsible for all instrument and electrical component calibration and testing procedures.

1991 - 1994 Aircraft Maintenance Facility Team Supervisor

➢ Supervisor of up to eight personnel carrying out routine 2 nd line routine maintenance of Tornado F3 aircraft.

➢ Planned and implemented modifications and technical instructions to Tornado F3.

1990 - 1991 Flight Line Maintenance Team Member

➢ Carried out all composite flight line activities and the electrical maintenance and servicing of Dominie aircraft as part of an electrical team.

1986 - 1989 Major Servicing Electrical Team Member

➢ Major servicing, maintenance and modification of Nimrod aircraft as part of an electrical maintenance team.

➢ Chartered Management Institute Project Management Diploma Level 4 / 5.

➢ BTEC National Diploma Aeronautical Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

➢ City and Guilds Graduateship in Leadership and Management.

➢ City and Guilds Parts 1, 2 and 3 in Aeronautical Engineering.
