I am a Chartered Engineer with over twenty-five (25) years experience on major construction projects in both design and supervision roles. Wide experience in the design, design review/checking and construction of major structures, generally managing activities, and supervising/monitoring teams of engineers and technicians. Experienced in the use of computers (Staad, Lusas, Sesam, Excel, Tedds, Word and other programmes for general office duties - Lotus Notes etc) Familiar with considerably more computer design programmes (Design Review)- eg - Caesar, Robot, Ansys, OrcaFlex .

Currently lead structural engineer for Study/FEED work on the Snorre A and B platforms involving large brownfield modifications to tension leg platforms

Coordinator for structural design activities involving large scale modifications and additions to BP Valhall platforms. Resposible for the Structural Design Brief and Hook-up/Installation Philosophy Documents:Liaising with external contractors. Other duties included Review/Checking/Approval of detailed design calculations for numerous structural modifications.

2005 - 2006Exxon Mobil- Civil/Building Engineer - EPC Office Tokyo/Paris

Train 6/7 Qatar - Sterling 3000 million

COMPANY Civil/ Building Engineer on Rasgas LNG Trains 6/7, responsible for the Review, Approval and Monitoring, of all EPC Contractor civil/building work. Responsible for Approval of Design Specifications ,Checking/Approval of first of type calculations. eg - piperacks, rotating equipment foundations, blast resistant buildings. Monitoring and auditing of contractor civil/structural department procedures. Agreement of civil estimates for Change Orders.

2005 -2005 KBR - Principal Engineer - Aberdeen - BP Platforms in North Sea

JRE (Job Responsible Engineer) for the implementation of numerous brownfield repairs/additions and modifications on the Andrew and Harding Platforms. Responsible for small FEEDs with estimates of design and construction costs before doing the detailed design and production of workpacks.

2002- 2005 Total - Civil/ Structural Engineer - Kharg Island, Iran Sterling 180 million

- Amenam, Nigeria Sterling 20 million

COMPANY Civil/Structural Engineer for Total on Kharg Island, Dorood Project, onshore and offshore work including a shore approach for the pipelines from the platforms. Responsible for the review and Approval of all civil/structural technical documents and providing technical support to the construction team (eg- Responsible for the lifting, transportation and installation of long lead equipment supplied by COMPANY) Also responsible for COMPANY response to the EPCI Contractor on technical issues of dispute.

On Amenam, COMPANY Engineer responsible for review and Approval of all CONTRACTOR designs for a wellhead water injection platform, with input from external specialist engineers provided on a required basis. Later, I was appointed COMPANY Site Representative at steel fabricators yard in Warri, controlling a team of 10 personnel and reporting to the Project Manager in Paris.

2002- 2002 Amec/Shell- Senior Structural Engineer-Leman Upgrade, Sterling 18 million

Verification of existing topsides, jackets and piles for the Leman Field as part of a FEED. A new link bridge was proposed between 2 adjacent platforms and this would locally impose an additional 500 tonne of loading on the platforms. Later, responsible for detail design, lifting, transportation studies and analysis for the new link bridge between the platforms.

2001- 2002 Consafe - Senior Structural Engineer-Aberdeen-Projects to Sterling 5 million

Produced detailed design calculations for topside modules for several offshore platforms, including all lifting, transportation and load out studies/analysis. Accommodation module designs were blast resistant and usually stacked - up to 5 levels.

2001 - 2001 ABB Lummus - Civil Engineer Basell, Polybutene Plant, Moerdijk, Holland

Decided the piling layouts in the main process area at the plant. Also produced detailed design calculations for piperacks, equipment buildings, equipment foundations and other miscellaneous small structures.

2000 - 2001 Kvaerner - Design Co-ordination Engineer BNFL, Sellafield Facility, UK

Produced Scopes of Work and outline/conceptual proposals for various projects which were then issued to Consultants for detail design, liaising with other companies and obtaining tenders from Term Contractors.

1999 - 2000 Mannesmann KTI - Project Engineer ALBA, Calcined Coke Plant - Bahrain

Based in the Dusseldorf Office in Germany, I was responsible for the approval and distribution of documents. Technical support and coordination of design Sub-contractors, Vendors and the Site in Bahrain was also provided.

1997 - 1998 British Antarctic Survey (TPS Consult) - Structural Engineer

As The Structural Engineer I was responsible for the survey and assessment of building facilities at the Halley Base on the Brunt Ice Shelf in Antarctica. Structural repairs and remedial works to various facilities were performed.

1994 - 1997 Dubai Drydocks - Contracts Engineer

Various Marine Projects, Pounds Sterling - 22 million

Compiled Contract Documents for repair works to various facilities and refurbishment work on services within Dubai Drydocks. Responsible for Tender negotiations, analysis, evaluation and recommending acceptance of Tenders

Demercaptanisation Plant, Tengiz, Kazakhstan, Pounds Sterling - 70 million

KACST Laboratory Project, Saudi Arabia, Pounds Sterling - 60 million

Great Man-made River Project, Libya, Pounds Sterling - 2000 million

On Tengiz Project, I designed of 4 No. pipe bridges, 2 pumhouses and foundations for various pressure vessels. I supervised production of shop drawings in the Czech Republic. At Tengiz I provided technical support to the civil sub-contractor.

As Lead Structural Engineer, managing a team of 6 expatriates, on the KACST Project, my area of responsibility covered the approval of the Contractor's designs, materials, suppliers, sub-contractors and the supervision of the construction work.

My duties involved design review and the approval of the Contractor's conceptual layout drawings, design calculations, reinforcement drawings, shop and fabrication drawings and approval of his as built drawings.

I was the design engineer on a replacement bridge of composite construction for a major trunk road crossing the River Clyde. Design and site supervision of small repair and maintenance contracts from initial studies to final measurement with Contractors.

1980-1985 Lilley Construction Ltd. - Section Engineer

Sullom Voe Oil Terminal, Shetlands, Pounds Sterling - 120 million

Key role was to provide site supervision and management on construction projects of various sizes that included major reinforced concrete structures, petrochemical facilities, industrial buildings, and marine works.

I provided site supervision for various highway structures and industrial buildings. Duties included setting out the works and supervising and communicating construction information to the relevant sub-contractors.

Responsible for recording the results from the site investigation boreholes that were to be used to assess the grouting requirements beneath the future dam.
