Overview: I am a Carpenter by trade, and first progressed to a management position in

1980 as a Foreman. Since then I have been employed in a variety of positions

to my current one as Site Manager.

In 2003 I gained the C.I.O.B. Diploma in Site Management Studies, and also

Hold appointed person First Aid Certificate, and C.I.T.B. SMSTS, and CSCS

card.

I am continually striving for personnel excellence within the Construction

Industry with ever demanding programme and budget targets to meet.

Employment: Construction Manager June 07 - Present

Working for RED Construction in Lincoln on a old hospital. As the number one on

site having complete day to day control of all aspects of the refurbishment /

conversion works. Managing in access of 40 men carrying out various tasks, in

addition to a management team of 5.

Carrying out site inductions, tool box talks, writing and presenting Method

Statements, overseeing Health, Safety and Welfare on site, partaking in meetings

with Directors, Clients, Local Authority and National Heritage. Ensuring the strict

requirements in regards to standards are met.

Working for Masterfoods (Mars) in King's Lynn on the start of a refurbishment

project, acting as the clients representative prior to works starting. Liaising with

Contractors who will used on site, and generally assisting in preparing the site

set up prior the commencement of works.

Working for Barrett in Stevenage on a new build development on holiday cover

basis. Generally looking after the site while the regular manager on leave.

Ensuring all aspect continue as programme, managing Health, Safety and Welfare

Working for Willmott Dixon in Chessington. Contract is enabling works,

diversion of existing services within school grounds prior to a new build starting.

Working for Pheonix Contracts in Swansea on a fast track Play Football complex.

Managing Sub-contractors doing the internal fit-out, and Ground workers

constructing the access road, and paved area's round the complex. Managing

Health, Safety and Welfare on site, ordering materials, reporting to the visiting

Contracts Manager.

new build Performing Arts Centre until the appointed site manager started.

pre-handover inspection, and occupation.

and ready for CML Inspections, and occupation.

Keeping and maintaining all Statutory and Company documentation.

Ensuring work within Customer satisfaction was completed.

Keeping and maintaining all Statutory and Company documentation.

ii) A Project of 86 Two Bedroom Flats in Hertfordshire, retail value £13 million.

Overall control of the Site with an Assistant Manager, 2 Forklift Drivers, and 2

Labourers under my Supervision.

Reporting to the Building Director.

Responsible for managing and controlling all Sub-contract Labour, Plant and

Material on or required by the site.

Responsible for Health, Safety and Welfare and site and ensuring the

Company's and Statutory requirements are met and adhered to.

Ensuring all Company and Statutory documentation is up to date, and keeping

the filing system current.

The ordering of Material required by the Site to ensure the production flow is

maintained.

The planning of Sub-contract trades to ensure continuity of the programme.

Liaising with Suppliers to ensure material is available when required.

Liaising with Contractors to ensure that they have available labour in the

numbers as and when required.

Freelance Contract Site Manager: June 03 - Aug 03

Contracting to Morris Homes (East Midlands) as a Site Manager covering

holiday and sick leave. Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager ensuring

the sites remained on programme, and to the Company standard.

Maintaining Company and Statutory guidelines with regards to Health

Site Manager on a Phase of 65 one and Two Bedroom units, some being flats

From DPC to completion, and including some after care service.

Control of all Sub-contract labour on this Phase.

Ordering material to maintain the flow of the programme which had to be

And the job was completed on time and within budget while ensuring Health and

Safety and company policies where followed.
