Supervision of Instrument personnel on the commissioning of the new Piper "Bravo" Oil Production Platform for Elf Enterprise Caledonia. Working on the Control System Upgrade Project (C.S.U.). This is a complete refurbishment, re-instrumentation and new control room project for Shell U.K., on their Dunlin "A" and Cormorant "A" Oil production platforms. My duties involved liaising closely between offshore production and engineering departments and onshore design team, clearing all conceptual and detail design problems. Generation of work packs, packages and systems on clients behalf. As-buildng and interfacing of new systems, these systems were the Honeywell PLC System (for an E.s.d. system changeout), and replacement of full fire and gas system with new advanced ICS system.

Commissioning of "Calcam" advanced control system, Fire and Gas, E.S.D. and Baker wellhead system and all related conditions and effects. Also responsible for final documentation clearance for all systems and associated equipment on "Phillip's Audrey II" unmanned gas production platform at McDermott's, Ardersier, Scotland.

QA/QC Inspection of installation, completion, documentation, design changes and progressive fault finding at the L.L.D.P.E. Plant, B.P. Chemicals, Grangemouth, Scotland.
